I WAS IN BETWEEN THE MACBOOK PRO AND THIS. I LIKED THE THOUGHT OF THE M1 CHIP AND AIR DROP APPLE HAS, AS WELL AS THE GRAPHICS... BUT I ALSO LIKED THAT THE SURFACE STUDIO LAPTOP WAS TOUCH SCREEN AND COULD DO ALOT MORE IN COMPARISON. I AM SO HAPPY I ENDED UP GOING WITH THIS MACHINE. IT IS SO SMOOTH, FEELS SO QUALITY, AND THE VERSATILITY OF BEING ABLE TO USE THE TOUCH SCREEN, TABLET AND STAGE MODE AS WELL IS ICING ON THE CAKE WHEN COMPARING TO THE MACBOOK. NOW I WILL SAY, ANY COMPLAINTS PEOPLE HAD ABOUT THE SIDE AIR VENTS BLOWING OUT WARMER AIR, I PERSONALLY HAVEN'T DEALT WITH AS I TYPICALLY USE IT ON MY LAP AND WITHOUT A SEPERATE MOUSE SO NO ISSUES THERE. THE TRACKPAD IS OUTSTANDING WITH THE HAPTIC FEEDBACK AND THE KEYPAD IS SO CRISP WITH JUST THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF SPACING AND TRAVEL. YOU WILL RARELY EVER LOOK DOWN TO FIND A KEY OR WHATEVER.. IT'S JUST PURE CLASS WHILE TYPING. THE WEIGHT IS A LITTLE HEAVY DUE TO THE UNIQUE SHAPE AND DIMENSIONS BUT MAKES IT ALWAYS FEEL SECURE. THE PICTURE QUALITY/GRAPHICS ARE AMAZING! I OPTED IN FOR THE NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX30 I7 (WELL WORTH THE EXTRA MONEY). THE BATTERY LIFE IS A LITTLE BIT LESS THAN I WOULD PREFER BUT CAN HANDLE SEVERAL HOURS OF WORK ON A FULL CHARGE NO PROBLEM. THE SOUND IS SUPERIOR AND OUT-PERFORMS ANY MACBOOK IN THAT DEPARTMENT ON PAPER. THE SURFACE SLIM PEN 2 IS A MUST HAVE AND IT CHARGES ON THE UNDERSIDE FRONT LIP MAGNETICALY. IT ALSO HAS HAPTIC FEEDBACK TO MAKE IT FEEL REALISTIC (I WISH IT WAS INCLUDED). OVERALL THE SPEED OF THE COMPUTER HAS BEEN LIGHTNING FAST AND I LOVE USING IT TO CREATE AND EDIT VIDEOS, WRITE EMAILS, USE MICROSOFT 365, GAME FROM MY XBOX 360 AND WATCH MOVIES. ALL IN ALL, IF YOU'RE IN THE MARKET FOR A NEW LAPTOP AND LIKE ALL THE EXTRA FEATURES THE SURFACE STUDIO LAPTOP HAS TO OFFER, THAN DON'T HESITATE..LOOK NO FURTHER. YOU WILL THANK ME LATER!

The surface studio I7 hands down is an awesome laptop. I have no complaints, does everything I need it to. Great graphics card for playing games. Its fast for browsing and downloading files. The weight is heavy but it stays in place and its solid. I carry it around in my backpack..Typing is comfortable and the touch pad is precise.

I finally decided to take the plunge and get this beaut- the Microsoft - Surface Laptop Studio i7, 16GB RAM with the 512 SSD, and I love it. I'll start with the challenges: Battery life leaves a bit to be desired. I get about 6 hours, from surfing, light photo editing, and general productivity work. 6 hours is okay, but I have an MBP 16" and it has 2-day battery life. Price: Ridiculously expensive compared to others in its class. Enough said. Ports: I like ports, but I have realized that many laptops are being made without legacy USB-A ports, so I guess I have to adjust. Instead, I decided to upgrade my SSD from 512 GB to 1 TB, which was surprisingly easier than I thought it would be, so I can just save all my docs to the device or carry dongles. The Good: Design I'm not a drawer, but I love to sketch stuff with the screen in drawing mode, it's great. The pen 2 isn't included, but I picked up one for a beautiful $50. It was a great deal! It works very well. Keyboard and Trackpad: The keyboard is top notch and the trackpad is outstanding. I actually love the color that Microsoft went with for the keyboard- the gray really pops and is different that the standard black. Overall, I have to say, I love the way that it looks. I would not recommend buying it for this reason alone as the price is ridiculous at $1700/sale, but I like my laptops to look cool, so I bought it.
