You're not compromising speed or quality on a Microsoft Surface pro. Plenty of capability in an ultra thin and light platform. It may not be the cheapest out there but there certainly are others that cost more. If equipped properly, it runs like a champ. I recommend a minimum i7 processor, 16 gig of memory and 256 of storage or more. Storage depends on your needs, so take a look and see how much you need and make sure to budget extra so you don't run out of space. If you're the kind of person that works off the cloud or out of a network attached storage 256 which is what I have is planning
I recently purchased the Surface Pro 9, and I am thoroughly impressed with its performance and versatility. The sleek design and lightweight build make it highly portable, perfect for on-the-go use. The 13-inch PixelSense display is vibrant and sharp, providing an excellent visual experience for both work and entertainment. The Surface Pro 9 is powered by the latest Intel Core processors, delivering fast and smooth performance even with demanding applications. I appreciate the seamless multitasking capabilities, which allow me to switch between programs without any lag. The battery life is also commendable, easily lasting through a full day of work or study. One of the standout features is the detachable keyboard, which is comfortable to type on and enhances productivity. The Surface Pen is a fantastic addition for note-taking, drawing, and annotating documents, making it a great tool for creative professionals and students alike. Connectivity options are ample with USB-C ports and a Surface Connect port, though I do wish there were more traditional USB-A ports. The built-in kickstand is sturdy and adjustable, providing the perfect viewing angle whether I'm typing, drawing, or watching videos. Overall, the Surface Pro 9 is a top-notch 2-in-1 device that combines the functionality of a laptop with the convenience of a tablet. It's a versatile and powerful tool that meets the needs of both professional and personal use. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, high-performance device.

If you want a windowd equivalent of macair, surface is your best bet. Love the touch screen, i5 is snappy but not as much snappier for a development. There is some lag, need to try and adjust some settings. The keyboard attachment is absolutelt handy but creates some touch screen sensitivity isssue. Observed same in older model too. Price is on expensive side, but as i said this is the closest one if you want a light weight windows and reliability. Greats: Has much better repairability compared to older models and handy option to upgrade sd card. Areas of improvement: more light weight, keyboard touch screen sensitivity fix and reduce price to some extent.

A brilliant product that combines speed and power with versatility. I bought my pro 8 about 2 years ago and now I got my wife to get a pro 9 and she is extremely satisfied after being skeptical it could do the job. We rarely use our iPads now.

The surface is very much what i expected it to be. Light, versatile, and pretty well rounded.

Purchased a Surface Pro 9 for work. This is my third Surface Pro (SP3 and SP7 - still use both!), and they just keep getting better. While I use it primarily as my daily driver laptop, having the tablet functionality and ability to write on it when necessary (I do use the pen!) gives me everything I need. I looked at multiple other laptops before coming back to Microsoft, can't beat the form factor and performance!

This is my second Microsoft surface pro and I absolutely love it! Works awesome! my first one is 11 years old and still works great. I just had to update because of hardware and software requirements.

Like the portability of the Microsoft surface pro. Very easy to use and has fast charging. Only thing I wish is that it had more ports.

For an i5, it is a great 16gig device. I use it for work. I lost it after a month and bought another.

I got this device as a present to my husband. He had the surface pro 3 for like 10-15 years. He wanted to clean it out but in fact I just bought him a brand new surface pro 9. He absolutely loves it. Great for work/school/personal use/ reading or just cuddling on the bed watching something on Netflix. It works great for 16GB memory with 256GB SSD with keyboard. I was really impressed with the deals saved once I joined the total rewards subscription.

I bought this because it was on sale, and because I can use apps that only works on Microsoft such as Ableton. It's heavier than I thought, it's not as fast as I thought, but overall it's neither bad or great. If I had a choice, I would buy the Samsung for its bigger screen... but it's not compatible with my DAW, Steam, and a million other apps. Windows is absolutely terrible, but there aren't other alternatives for the programs I use. This is basically a PC laptop, except slower. I got this primary for 2d animation and it works, so yeah, I want to win the sweepstakes. Only reason why I'm writing this review. Meow.

When paired with a matching Signature Keyboard cover, the 13-inch tablet feels more like a true laptop. Battery life is 5-6 hrs.

Excellent device if you're looking for productivity and versatility on the go. Wish it had more battery life though like double of what we have
