I have been using these for over 6 months for different things. Keeping track of family members at outdoor events, hiking, around the house, etc. The clarity is very good outdoors and when used with one person indoors and the other outdoors, the voice quality is still good. For outdoor range, the family members were probably 100 - 200 yards apart so we didn't push the distance range on these. The battery life is very good as using these for 4 - 5 hours (not constantly talking) doesn't drain the battery all that much. I've used them several times before recharging. I haven't used them in cold weather so don't know if the temperature will drain them faster, but so far so good.

I use these when I am out on the farm with the in-laws, or have to climb under the house. Great range and good build quality! I would recommend!!

Haven't used very much and cannot test the distance feature but this pair of radios does what I need them to do. Clear too.

The range advertised does not come close to the actual range. i tested them and got a max of about 2 miles vs 32 advertised. Might have been a defective unit but I'm am definitely underwhelmed.

Please note that range is subject to quite a few factors. Best range will be achieved out-of-doors in open rural areas without obstructions, or on flat areas. The "up to" range is under optimal conditions over open water, desert, or mountain top to mountain top. Any obstructions between you and who you are communicating with will greatly decrease your range. This is true no matter which brand of radio you purchase. <img src="https://s3.amazonaws.com/stratos-logos/logos/MidlandUSA.jpeg" alt="MidlandUSA" title="MidlandUSA" style="display: block !important; margin-top: 2em !important; border: 1px solid #ccc !important; padding: 2px !important; background-color: white !important;" />
