Excellent light weight vacuum
Great vacuum. Has great power and amazed what it picks up that you don't see..weight isn't heavy,it is now my wife's favorite vacuum..I use on hard wood and tile floor with some area rugs..you don't need to put it past power level 1 to pick up dirt on hard wood floors..if you use on carpet, put on level 2..battery will last depending how you use it.if use on level 1 and on hardwood floor,it will last lot longer than on carpet at level 2 or 3 . I have been able to clean a 2200 sq ft house on 1 charge .. Like also that you can quickly change the configuration to full stick vacuum to a portable vacuum. ..I recommend

This is real innovation
Pros: Configures as a stick vacuum, stand by itself upright for hard floors, carpets and under things and as a handheld for blinds, couches, table tops etc. Suction power on low, brush strength, low noise even on turbo, maneuverability and wrist feel/weight. Catch can removal is super simple. Cons: Not a whole house vacuum (but you know this already in that you could but it's more like a room/corner/hard floor/etc supplemental). Supplemental because battery life and size of catch can which technically is not a con if you already understand that when using the unit. Catch can release of dirt in to trash can be a tad involved until you get the hang of it. Configuring for different scenarios takes some time getting used to as the pieces snap together really well and, well, need to be pulled apart with a bit of finesse until you get the hang of it. ---------- This vacuum is awesome and I mean awesome. I have a Dyson 1st generation animal and it cleans everything very well but it is 20 pounds and lugging 20 pounds around the house to get behind the couch, bed, clean the blinds sucks most time. I've accomplished this for 10 years without issue but now I'm in need of something a bit more accommodating. I did try every Dyson stick vacuum BB had and almost bought the v11 outsize. What kept me from that was the trigger needing to be held the whole time, the weight at the wrist and the fact that Dyson has 4 or 5 versions of the same exact vacuum with incremental improvements either in suction or catch can, I found the v11 outsize to be too large, did not have a hard floor attachment and the v10/v8 was over my price point and in seeing them and testing them they really didn't do anything for me at those price points. I use my Animal for the high pile areas and I am finding the Miele is quickly becoming my go to for everything else. I picked up an extra battery but I did NOT buy the extra cradle since that is $238 if you call in to buy it and have it shipped. That is ridic to me and since I have already needed a second battery since the use of this vacuum has increased, I just charge it separately after no big deal. The filter inside pull out very easily but you are going to have to knock it against a can to get that fine dust out. That is annoying but I do not know of ANY bag-less solution that does this well. You can discard the contents easily but that fine dust filter needs a good knock or since it's small it's going to fill if you are not on top of that. This cleans hard floors exceptionally well. I am not the guy who drops whole bowls of cereal on the floor I then need to vacuum up but I do have dogs and this base model is amazing at getting everything. BTW even the top top model is the same as the base. What differs is the attachments and whether or not you get the extra battery and charging cradle. If you want those things buy the top model. I just needed the extra battery which was a $150 add and you have to go to the Miele website to get all that stuff. Only had it a week but already used it more than my Dyson since its so versatile and always ready to go no matter what I needed it for. Very very happy and the quality of the materials are well made!

Great value
I have owned 4 Dyson cordless vacuums. They all broke within a year. After the last one broke at 15 months I decided to give this a try. I love the flexibility of it. It is pretty powerful also. We have this and a Miele CX1 turbo. Throughout the week we use this to clean up everything and use the plug in once a week or once every other week to do the carpets. Compared to the Dyson, it is quieter, cleans just as well, and as of now seems to be more reliable. Not to mention cheaper. My only issue with the vacuum compared to the Dyson is that it is not as easy to empty the canister. Other than that I would never buy a Dyson again.

Great but pricey
This item is lightweight and works quite well. I use it to vacuum a two story 2500 square foot house. On the number 2 power setting, I am able to vacuum one floor until the power runs out. I then have to recharge for 3-4 hours and then vacuum the other floor. This works out fine for me. Really ergonomic and feels fine when operational. Picks up plenty of dust and material as can be clearly seen in the dustbin. The only reason I don’t give it full 5 stars is because it is very pricey. If the price were lower by about $150 then it would get 5 stars.

Just fantastic!
Easy to put together. Way more powerful than a certain other high-end cordless so it cleans incredibly well. Super easy to clean and keep clean - no washing filters! Just love it. Miele is a very trustworthy brand.
