A: Hello Dee, the MobiCam will simply surveil the room it is placed in without either a subscription to Cloud Storage or a Micro SD card. Though Cloud Storage is not required, it is an option to record content with the MobiCam that can be played back according to the plan terms that you purchase. With a Micro SD card you can choose to have 24-hour non-stop recording or motion-detected recordings that can be played back according to the storage space available. MobiCam is compatible with any standard Micro SD card that is 16GBs to 128GBs.
Q: Can you use this monitoring system when you are 25 miles away from the unit?
A: The camera app and cameras rely on an Internet connection. As long as you have internet connectivity from your phone and the cameras are still connected to home internet, you should be good.
