About this product

Szary and Gernot originally intended to rerecord old tracks from their first two albums, Hello Mom! And Happy Birthday!. The duo looks back while simultaneously creating the future. Tracks like InchKill Bill Vol. 4,Inch InchEdgar,Inch and other album titles served as source material, were repeatedly disassembled and reassembled, reinterpreted, and ultimately used, in most cases, only as abstract inspiration. The result is a retrospective that has emancipated itself. Classics Vol. 1 forges an unexpected bridge between then and now, encapsulating everything that defines Modeselektor curiosity, chaos, humor, and an unwavering need to constantly uncover new facets of their own history.
