Our positive experience started with our local BB salesman Roger who was very knowledgeable about cooktops and helped us with making our final choice of the 36" GE Monogram gas cooktop. We decided we did not want one with a built-in griddle as our previous model had. He and his supervisor were also very helpful in ensuring we received all of the discounts available. Given this was an expensive investment, every savings was helpful. Best Buy delivery was first class. They delivered it on time and the crew was very friendly and respectful of our property. I installed the gas cooktop myself so I have no feedback on BBs installation processes. The GE Monogram gas cooktop itself is awesome and my wife loves it. Beautiful appearance and flawless functionality. We've already received a number of compliments on how beautiful this cooktop is. This was my first large gas cooktop installation and like almost every other appliance I've installed, the GE installation instructions could have been more clear (they never seem to consider DIY installers). But comparing them to some Youtube videos allowed me to avoid any significant problems. Important note: while considered a 36" cooktop, this model has a significantly larger footprint than our previous 36" cooktop and required alterations to the cabinet and countertops to fit correctly. So, it may not be a "drop in" replacement for many situations, even if you're replacing an older GE model, and it may not be something a DIYer may want to tackle. The cooktop is heavy duty and seems to be very well made. The burners light quickly and the flame adjustments are easy to set. We like that they give you 2 different sizes of burner rings to use for everyday cooking and for large pots and pans. You also get brass and black burner rings and center disks to change up the look. The brass details really pop visually. We also like the look and weight of the cast iron burner grates and the way they fit together. The coating on the burner surface cleans easily and the burner design allows easier cleaning around them than our previous JennAir. Time will tell if this cooktop will hold up as well as our 23 year old JennAir did but, so far, we have no complaints and are very happy with our purchase.

We just had it installed and it looks great and seems to work fine. Love the various burner options and the BTUs. It will sure make cooking much better! Time will tell if the quality holds up to the asthetics.
