Had this title for Gameboy as a child, and, when Bestbuy included this doorbuster; I had to have it!

Game can take just as long as playing the board game. Playing this way makes it easier to keep track of properties, cash and makes trading easier. Also like the live version of the game too.

Vary fun, and very entertaining. Everyone in my family loves it.

Monopoly for Nintendo Switch brings the classic board game to life in a digital format, allowing players to enjoy the timeless fun with friends and family anytime, anywhere. The game faithfully recreates the familiar gameplay mechanics, from buying properties to collecting rent and strategizing to bankrupt opponents. With various themes and customizable house rules, there's plenty of replay value. However, the interface can be clunky at times, and online multiplayer functionality could be smoother. Despite these minor drawbacks, Monopoly on the Switch offers a convenient and enjoyable way to experience the iconic board game on-the-go or at home.

After reading all the online reviews surrounding loading time issues with this game I held off from purchasing it for a while. However it now appears to be resolved and loads up without problems. Overall I really enjoy playing this game with friends when we are out or at their homes. You can play up to 8 players using a single controller to pass around or individual. The motion controls come into play when wanting to roll the dice Game Play - The 3 Monopoly Game Boards are animated and are fun , enjoyable themes. You are provided with the traditional game tokens to play with however there are gold ones you can unlock over time by meeting some achievements. There is also a quick mode that provided you a red dice to help move the game along faster. The computer players have different level skillsets you can play against. However even at Hardest level they seem to be moderately difficult. A feature that I really enjoy is the option to save the game to come back to it later. You can save up to three games and easily pause the game when you have to become mobile with your switch. I would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys playing with friends locally or want to chill with others at home.

This is monopoly so nothing extra ordinary as far as game play. Several different options as far as 3d play or top down perspective. Couple different themed boards but wished there were announced plans for say a Nintendo themed board to make this version a little special. Lots of customizable rules though so you can tailor the game to your liking. Haven't played multiplayer yet but from what I've seen it seems fairly easy and straight forward to do. Table top mode with the family gathered around with multiple joy cons should be a lot of fun over Christmas with the family. $40 is a bit high in my opinion but with gamer club discount it's more appealing. I personally got on sale though so for what I paid it was a great pick up. If you catch it on sale or have gamer club and love monopoly it's a no brainer. At full price though and especially if you are just eh on monopoly, I'd probably pass. This is just monopoly and doesn't do anything outside of that gameplay wise.

This is a very fully featured Monopoly game for the Switch. The game features the classic boards in addition to some graphically snazzy boards (including one featuring Ubisofts' Rabbids characters). The controls work great and the game uses all of the Switch's control options. Up to six players can play together on the same screen (either with individual controllers or by sharing the same controller). A great party game for families and friends. The only complaint I have is that some of the new style maps have considerable frame skipping when playing in docked mode. Portable mode appears to run much better.

My kids love playing this game. Think the board game but on the tv.

If you don't want to deal with game pieces laying everywhere, this is your ticket to Monopoly. Lots of online modes and the game looks beautiful. Interactive lively boards.

This game is a classic. This game is fantastic! The physical is fantastic! But this one is downright ecstatic! Never have to worry about losing as a game piece again! Sit down with your family and play this one tonight! You won’t regret it!

I love Monopoly, so this was an immediate purchase for me on the Switch. The game itself looks quite nice. At first, I was alarmed by the endless loading times, but after the day 1 software update was applied, and the console restarted, the loading times were normal. My issue is not with the graphics but rather the gameplay itself. Unfortunately, it does not appear that you can really use house rules to customize the game. You either get whatever is predetermined for house rules, or you play classic rules, etc. Having the ability to choose options for the house rules is critical. I also cannot figure out how to mortgage properties when "managing" my portfolio, which is extremely frustrating. Pace of play is a tad slow, with no ability to speed it up due to some annoying narration (which cannot be disabled). I loved the version of Monopoly that was released on the Wii, several years ago. I almost wish that game had been ported to the Switch, instead of getting this version. It's superior to this one. Customizable house rules, great controls, excellent graphics, etc. I remain hopeful that a future update will solve some of the gameplay issues with this new game for the Switch. The game is enjoyable, but the gameplay issues are hard to ignore.

It’s fun to play but it’s a little laggy and the character pieces have no animation. Would not recommend purchasing at full price.

The first thing that comes to mind is, portable monopoly. If you have played it before, you know what you are getting. The system is simplified for anyone to play solo or in groups. There are preset rules to modify the game but is not as open as to applywhatever rules you want. Still, monopoly is monopoly and it's always fun to play in group

Having played Monopoly as a child sparked my interest in this title. I remember all the tedious work of keeping up with money and having to check all the rules constantly. Not any more! Everything is so streamlined and quick that games can be enjoyed to the fullest. The AI is pretty tough to beat but still fun.

This game is too addicting. I never knew what the real rules of Monopoly were, but they show you in this game. I always played all day with my cousins and we ended up making our own rules. This game gets to the point and gets so addicting. I think the computers cheat a lot, but I learned how to beat them.

Love Monopoly and thought I would love this game but it moves pretty slowly even when you skip through a lot of the filler animation.
