Long time MH player here since psp days. This is the most beginner friendly MH to date for any new players out there looking to get into the franchise. Currently I'm HR4 and haven't encountered anything too difficult to defeat. With that being said however, I'm still enjoying the gameplay quite a lot. You can create your canine companion to look how you want it and also the cat companion. They do add a lot of random dialogue that can get annoying but I changed the language to japanese so I don't understand what's being said and therefore not getting annoyed by unnecessary commentary.

The game looks good for a Switch game. It’s beyond my expectations! And the addition of new mechanics is cool too

All the new gimmicks they bring in MHR make the fight fun and exciting and all worth the while. It also looks great while playing on switch on or off the dock.

Generational masterpiece. Ive been playing MH games since Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate on Wii U. This game even rivals World, and in many respects exceeds its excellence. There's a bar of entry which requires learning the game mechanics. New players will think its "slow and clunky" at first. But stick with it and you'll later wonder how you could't see how it feels so fast and fluid. One of the greatest games of the generation and certainly on Switch

Amazing game. Fun, filled w content, beautiful art design and amazing soundtrack, pushes the switch to its max. Alll around perfect 10/10 MH game.
