Severely traumatized by a near-fatal encounter with a serial killer, TV newscaster Karen White (Dee Wallace) takes time off at a secluded retreat called the Colony. In Night of the Howling, the city is under siege from a savage killer who strikes only under the full moon. Detective Whitlock, a weary investigator haunted by his own demons, begins to suspect that the murderer tearing victims limb from limb isn't human at all--but something far worse. As he delves deeper into the blood-soaked mystery, Whitlock uncovers a nightmarish truth the predator stalking the streets is a werewolf, cursed by an ancient evil and driven by an uncontrollable thirst for human flesh. Director Matt Jaissle (The Necro Files, Back From Hell, Apocalypse Bigfoot) delivers a throwback to the gritty practical horror of the VHS era, blending detective noir atmosphere with feral creature violence.
