This is a very fun game with a pretty decent story. It looks great on my Switch. Obviously it looks better on more powerful game consoles, but you can't play those on the bus or the DMV now can you. This is the base game which makes an affordable starter kit. The full expansion will run you the price of new game, but it's worth it for all of the extra content that comes with it. You can always wait for a dlc sale to get the rest. Just make sure you've got space on your memory card. I recommend this to any fighting genre fan.

I really wish I could get my money back. If you do not have a active internet connection, almost everything is locked. This is counter intuitive when playing on the Switch on the go. I just want to get in and play like any other fighting game. Klassic Towers tower mode is locked if you do not update (screen shot attached). My switch is not connected to the internet. Why do you have to make it so difficult to just play klassic tower. This game is only a 3.9/10 (currently) on metacritic and I think that is a generous score. What is up with all the microtransactions! I should have check the real reviews before I spent money on this. Can I really get my money back?

Brought this for my son, who likes fighting games. I remember playing MK 1 and 2 years ago, the fun of playing MK 11 is outstanding. The graphics are OK given that we're playing the switch. I played with one controller which works fine.

OK, so, MK11 on Nintendo Switch...I've played it (physical copy) for about 2hrs now. The gameplay is pretty solid. I'm playing it with a Nintendo Pro Controller. The frame rate is fast and consistant (both docked and undocked). The sound is great. And graphics...awe, the question all want answered. So far I have mostly played it docked on my 55 inch 4K. Visually this game has some really good graphics. But, I have to say that SOME levels/stages do not look nearly as good as others. Not saying they look bad. But if you really look at them. They are clearly not as easy on the eyes as some of the other stages/levels. The character models for the most part are really good! But, the hair (and facial hair) isn't the best. You really will only notice this in up close moments. I'm not a person that is all about graphics. And I could have bought this for my Xbox. However, I wanted it for Switch more. Despite knowing the graphics would be a little watered down...I didn't care. And realistically I was kinda like wow in my head, about a few of the stages and the hair up close. They seemed more watered down than expected. However..the graphics are overall really good. And those stahes and hair you quickly get used to. And the rest of the games visuals make up for it. MK11 is like a 4.5 out of 5 for me. I'm highly recommending this version for any Switch owner. And even anyone who has multiple systems. But loves gaming on their TV & on the go!

I was enticed to buy this game, I wanted to play Mortal Kombat at anytime and anywhere. Upon hearing that the Switch version of MK11 took a hit in graphics and performance, I was discouraged. I bought the game to see for myself, it holds its ground in performance. Combos are easily learned and executed nicely! The graphics do not compare to the PS4 or Xbox 1 versions, yet they are good. Fatalities still look gruesome and blood still looks like blood. It's NICE to be able to take this game anywhere and play. That alone is worth buying it. I own the PS4 version, love it. Loving this Switch version as well!

They've done a great job porting this game to the Switch. Understand this is going to be weak graphically when compared to the PS4 or Xbox. It's apples & oranges, you're sacrificing graphics for portability. That being said, gameplay is super smooth, which is what really matters here. So if you're going to be spending the majority of your time playing the main game, the visuals are fine. The Krypt is a brown and grey nightmare visually, but it's a side feature so I don't put as much emphasis there than the main game. Overall if you value the ability to play this on the go, or while your SO is watching TV, then you're getting an authentic MK experience at the cost of some of the visuals. If you're going to play in docked mode and have another system, just grab it for PS4 or Xbox. Also be warned that it requires a massive download to play. So make sure you've got a lot of free space on your Micro SD card before buying.

Let's get this out of the way first make no mistake if you have the ability to play MK 11 on Xbox One or PS4 by all means buy them on there first. Having already owned the game in Xbox One X I decided to pick up the switch port to play on the go and in bed because it's one of my favorite games of the year. The Switch port looks pretty decent but clearly there has been a lot of scaled back effects and detail that were required to make this port run as smoothly as it does. The most noticable downgrades are seen in the Krypt which looks more akin to a ps2 title. However in the mist of Kombat when fighting the game looks pretty decent and more importantly retains the 60fps gameplay. As a portable fighting game it's quite impressive they got it running this good. I'm enjoying the switch version of MK 11 and it gets my Recommendation!

I mainly bought this game to play with my family. But it also has a great single player experience. This game is out on PS4, Xbox One, and the Switch. The Switch version is the lowest quality version. The Switch version still plays well but the graphics are dumbed down making the blood look cartoonish. The frame rate is smooth just not as good as the PS4 or Xbox One versions. If you only have a Nintendo Switch it's an exceptable version considering that it is portable compared to the home console only versions. It is a fun game for one or more people to play.

MK runs at a solid 60FPS on the switch. While the graphics are bit dumb down, the fighting on all the versions are the same. MK as a portable game is pretty amazing, especially since it has all the content that is on the PS4 and Xbox One. I highly recommend!

The fact that we can play Mortal Kombat 11 fully portable with all the content included is incredible! It runs at 60fps docked and handheld, looks pretty good considering the restrictions of the switch hardware and is a blast to play! If you want MK 11 wherever you go don’t hesitate to get it on Switch!

I love MK !! I grew up playing this game. For a smaller screen the graphics are pretty good. I usually play this on my ps4, but I also like playing on my switch.

I think it's amazing that this game can run on the Switch at all. The gameplay is absolutely fantastic and the framerate is always 60 FPS. However, while the fights themselves look amazing, the cutscenes are absolutely terrible in this version. They look like the PS4 graphics, but they're SO pixelated on a TV and I've noticed a lot of brief moments when the audio and cutscenes stopped for maybe half a second before resuming. It really takes you out of the game. The cutscenes from Mortal Kombat 9 on Xbox 360 actually look better than 11 on Switch, which is a little disappointing. But you don't play games for cutscenes, you play them for gameplay and the gameplay here is just as good as on any other platform. And you can take it anywhere. And there are a lot of microtransactions, which I'm not a fan of.

People complain about all sorts of things. Like frame rates, which, the Nintendo Switch rate is slower than the more powerful systems out there. But is it really THAT noticeable, no, not really. And then there are those who complain about lower resolution graphics. Again, is it a game breaker? Nope. Because at the end of the day Switch owners have the option to play MK11. Because rest assured, these same amateur critics who nit pick and obsess over minor flaws. Would be yelling up a storm if MK11 wasn't available on the Switch at all. At the end of the day, MK11 is a well crafted fighting game for the Switch. Colorful, vibrant graphics, GREAT fatalities and a fun gaming experience for you and your friends. And that is what people forget. It's about playing a game for fun. And make no mistake, MK11 is FUN!
