This Wi-Fi Router works well with the xfinity internet service. It powers on fast, the default settings are quite alright and is easy to be further configured (password change, etc.). It won't crash during operation so it will give you steady fast WiFi / ethernet connection with no headaches. The signal strength is decent for a small house but will not be enough for a big mansion. The 5G means it also offers the 5GHz in addition to the 2.4GHz band. I already connected 2 phones, 2 laptops, 1 tablet, 1 Roku and 1 Chromecast plus my neighbor is using the guest profile and had no issues so far. Am not giving 5 stars because the WiFi signal strength should be slightly higher.

I recently installed internet in my home and opted to use my own modem/router since Optimum charges $10 a month to RENT theirs (no thank you!). I decided to go with this one after reading reviews and checking to make sure it was compatible with Optimum’s service. The only issue I had which isn’t directly related to the actual modem/router itself is that though it is compatible, one of the Optimum reps tried to tell me that it wasn’t “approved” and I would need a different one. Fortunately, another rep made it happen after I expressed some dissatisfaction with their service. Hate to be that guy, but of course they’re going to make it seem like their routers are the only ones that work since they make money off of them. Not sure what went on there, but in short this modem/router does work with Optimum if you’re willing to go through a bit of a hassle in case a similar situation like mine arises!

So far so good. It works so good. I did buy 2 of another brand first that did not work. So I looked on Best Buy web site and found this one. I have had it around a month or so.

Extremely valuable piece of equipment. It hold connection like no other modem I’ve had. Don’t be fooled by cheaper brands of modems, Motorola is the way to go. A good feature is the modem tells you when it’s connecting to 2 towers at a time by showing a blue arrow, a tip is to reset your modem until it shows a blue arrow to get better connection speeds

This is just what I needed to be able to return Comcast internet box that I was renting at $14 a month. This will pay for itself within 10 months. No problem getting it set up to Comcast customer service and I love that it has a router built-in so no added purchase needed

Works great ever since I purchased back in May. Pretty sleek look it to if I do say so myself. Haven’t had any issues.

This thing has been great, everyone device connects easy and still keeps up the speed. My last router/modem combo was slow and wouldnt have any wifi reach. This one i can stay connected at like 50ft away and with a solid connection. The instructions were easy to understand and setting it up with my current internet provider was a breeze.

Unit was well packaged with no missing components. Manual was included. Fairly easy to set up. I had the Cox tech on the line to connect the wifi. Once all complete the system was up and running smoothly and much faster than old unit. It's a modem and router in one with no telephone port. It's a vertical unit so it doesn't take up much space. I really like. I made a great purchase after comparing other units. Ive had it for slmost a month with no problems. Best Buy drive up pick up service is really easy with short wait time. I would definitely do drive up pick up again.

Set-up was super easy. So far the speed is good. Switched from using the cable companies modem to my own. I will never rent another modem again. I have a small condo so I can't speak to the range in a bigger space.

This router gets the job done. It can handle multiple gaming consoles and other devices on the wireless internet and has good range. I use it to stream live tv on my Xbox on the first floor (router is on the 2nd). It was simple to setup, simply unplugged everything from my old router and attached the cable wire, power supply, and ethernet cable. You do need to contact Spectrum so they can "activate" the router which is always a pain, but other than the hold times it was quick and painless!

Good router. Had problems with XFINITY connecting to it, but it was XFINITY's problem, not the router's. Took 4 tries, over at least same number of days, and a threat to leave XFINITY, before we got help from them.

I've been using it for 2 weeks now and have zero complaints. I work from home, stream everything, and game lots on the weekend and its been doing me solid so far. Definitely worth the investment to not have to pay a rental fee to x'finity monthly.

Item was easy to install. Modem and router in 1 makes connecting to internet simple. I felt price was a little expensive. The price was the same everywhere... but what's great about Best Buy, I could use my reward certificates towards the purchase and earn more rewards with the purchase.

Bought this for under $150. Cable company wants $20 a month to use theirs. Payed for itself in 8 months.
