I needed to replace an iPhone 7 without spending a lot of money, and without feeling like I took a serious down grade. I can proudly say I got a phone that is significantly cheaper, and that I enjoy significantly more. It executes everything in a snap, with no lag (like the iPhone 7 after I updated the software...), has a solid screen brightness (can see while I’m hiking), is backwards compatible onto 3G networks, and has an INCREDIBLE battery life. The turbo charger isn’t just some overzealous hype - this little guy charges soooo much faster than any electronic Ive ever used. A common pitfall in the budget phone game is the camera, and for a 200 dollar phone this camera is incredible. It still might be quite as great as an iPhone 7 camera, but it doesn’t miss the mark by much. Not enough to justify spending a gagillion more dollars, and get back in apples little hardware/software prison. The Moto Gestures leave a lot of folks jealous - just make a “chop chop” motion and the flashlight turns on, and do a little “twist twist” to turn on the camera, and a “three finger press” will take a screen shot. Shizzam, this phones too legit. I couldn’t be happier, glad Motorola is back in the game. After thoughts / Pro tips: Get a rugged poetic case (will survive drops, yet it doesn’t smother your microphone - so people can hear you on the other line), get the WRIO keyboard (google keyboard is bad news), DuckDuckGo browser, Signal messenger for SMS, ProtonMail app for email, webroot security to avoid malware on a budget (make sure you get a deal, got mine for 20$), cover up that selfie cam, and stay away from the clouds. Choosing the right apps ensure you remain the consumer, which is really to ensure you dont become “the product” those “free” apps sell in the form of information ;)

So far I have been extremely pleased with my Moto g6. I highly recommend it and it has received great reviews from those that know. I can't imagine that a more expensive phone would have much if any added value unless you are a complete phone geek or a member of the MacIntosh/Apple/iPhone 'cult'.
