    Careless Packing

I bought this Mount-It cart for ~$400 through Best Buy while buying a TV. Seemed well-reviewed. Looked big and sturdy. Turns out it was fulfilled through an outside vendor, Mount It themselves, not Best Buy. It was a dump and run delivery, which always raises concerns that the UPS driver knows something’s wring, but doesn’t want to be called on it. I quickly discovered why he dropped and fled. Box was already opened, and no one ever bothered to retape it shut. The bracket that goes onto the tv was missing, and there were no instructions anywhere. This was obviously a previously returned item, just carelessly sent right back out to some unsuspecting rube, me in this case, with nobody at Mount-It bothering to check the contents first. The thing weighed a danged ton, and there were more pieces to assemble than were required to build the Eiffel Tower, which was particularly vexing considering there were no instructions, and a major piece missing, rendering it useless. I returned it immediately. I will give both Best Buy and Mount-It a star for accepting my return and refunding my money promptly. But the item was a bust. Also, warning to anyone considering purchasing it for themselves, the wheel base is very wide. If you’re using it at home and are considering moving it from room to room, note that it cannot be wheeled through most standard doorways! You’re trapped, bucko!
