A musical outdoor lightshow. Plug in up to 6 strings for a synchronized musical show. Plays 20 songs. Adapter operated
Q: Does it only play pre-programed music?
A: Yes, it only plays 20 pre-programmed songs. You can't play any other songs. Each song is a little over 1 minute long, for a total of about 22 minutes for all 20 songs.
Q: Does it have to be set up daily or does it work on power up or have a timer?
A: It goes on with a power switch. It can be hooked up to a timer.
A: I have several brands of LED & incandescent lights from Home Depot, Menards, & Walmart and they all work just fine. But don't use Martha Stewart brand lights because there have been reports of them catching fire when dimmed/flashed/shimmered. (I know this because I've used the Light-O-Rama light & sound system for many years, and that's something that I learned from other Light-O-Rama users.)
Q: Can you plug extension cords into it and it still work or does it have to be lights directly into it
A: You can plug in lights or extension cords, or a combination of both.
Q: What Christmas song does it play and can it be programed to play just one song over and over again?
A: Joy To the World O Come All Ye Faithful The 12 Days of Christmas Carol of the Bells Jingle Bells We Wish You a Merry Christmas Frosty The Snowman Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas Here Comes Santa Claus Let It Snow Santa Claus is coming to town Sleigh Ride Winter Wonderland I Saw Three Ships God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen Angels We Have Heard On High Here We Come a-Caroling Deck The Halls Good Christian Men Rejoice We Three Kings of Orient Are It doesn't always start on the same song every time (sometimes it does). The order is always the same. It starts over automatically after the 20th song. You can't program it to loop just one song.
Q: How many strands can you hook up...I see it says 6 channels so can I hook up 6 strands per channel?
A: You can hook up to a maximum of 240 watts of lights per channel, for a total of 1,440 maximum watts. Since LED lights use much less watts than incandescent lights, use LEDs as much as possible so you can string more lights together. So it's not the number of strands of light that matters... it's the total wattage of the strands. Don't go over 240 watts for any of the 6 channels and you should be OK.
Q: Do the lights flash accordingly with the music ?
A: It has a couple of different options for the lights to go with the music.
A: I just picked mine up at Best Buy yesterday. It is different from Best Buy's 2020 version. For song selection settings this 2021 version has Siberian and Traditional (10 songs each) but there isn't a setting to play all 20 songs like the 2020 version had. The 2020 version had settings for Siberian, Rock and Roll, and All Songs. The 2020 version is better because of the ability to play all 20 songs, which you can't do with the 2021 version. If I had known this year's version was going to be different I would have bought another 2020 version last year so I'd have a backup with the setting that could play all 20 songs. I'll keep this 2021 version as a backup because I hacked into the 2020 version to install an audio cable to use with a better external speaker and an FM transmitter.
