The thing of this laptop is that everything is just "good enough" which makes for a lackluster user experience compared to other models. It is essentially the thin and light version of their gaming line but still decent specs unlike the budget ones. That said the screen is extremely dim on this model almost unusable. The speakers are easily the worst ive ever heard in a laptop it sounds like your playing out of .1" speakers or something its terrible. The keyboard doesnt have enough travel to it so you bottom out when you type and it feels spongy. The hinges arent tight enough on the screen so it flops around if you readjust on the couch or something with it on your lap. the build feels premium with metal but it gets fingerprints like mad! This is really unfortunate because the specs and performance of it is wonderful! I ended up getting the i9 model with the QHD screen and that solved the screen issue as it gets over 100 nits brighter. This likes to run hot hot hot so make sure to set your fan curve well or youll run into the juice and overheat and melt your chip like many have in the past. The saving grace is performance, thunderbolt and ports as it has a lot, and size. Other than that there are much better models for the same money that do everything better.

TDLR: Excellent Thin & Light Gaming Laptop. This laptop carries a premium price tag & you can find better performance for your dollar in other machines. BUT if you are looking for a gaming laptop with power and a more mature "stealth" look, then I feel this is the best BestBuy has to offer. While Ryzen is generally king on the desktop platform, I do believe the 11th gen H45 chips beat out the competing Ryzen 5000 chips for laptops. The main perks you get over Ryzen with Intel's H45 platform are Thunderbolt 4 and PCI-E 4.0 support. While I don't find PCI-E 4.0 beneficial in gaming or my workloads, Thunderbolt 4 is nice to have. While the 5800h will have about 8-14% better performance for productivity-related tasks, the 11800h should be about 5-8% fast in single-threaded workloads. Generally, gaming favors the single-threaded workload. Since by now everyone knows what a GS66 looks like, and we all know how a 100w RTX 3060 performs, I thought I would show some pictures of the internals of this laptop. It came with a 1TB WD SN730 SSD and the 16GB (8gbx2) Samsung Sodimm kit that has the slower timings that everyone has been talking about on Ryzen machines. I had a HyperX 3200mhz CL20 kit I had planned on using anyway. It comes with Killer 1675 Wifi/BT and I added a 1TB Sandisk Ultra SSD. If you are capable of repasting your own CPU & GPU, I would recommend it. MSI uses a really terrible VRM paste, I recommend K5 PRO. On the CPU and GPU I used Phobya NanoGrease. It dropped temps about 5-10C across the board. Overall, I am very pleased with this laptop. It is thin, has a nice build, no soldered ram, 2 m.2 slots, Thunderbolt 4, ethernet port, and plenty of ports minus a card reader.

I did a lot of research in purchasing a gaming lap top. This computer hold its battery, aesthetic lights, does not over heat as my previous lap top did. Strong frame, amazing display, and fast! I have had this lap top for over a year and can say it was one of the best purchases!

I highly recommend this laptop for its sleek design that helps converts easily for travel. I also had no problems playing games. My games (Fortnite, Rocket League, and Apex Legends) run at 240 fps. I also like how it has a very fast refresh time so i dont have too be waiting just to go on an app its instant. The keyboard built into the laptop is also really smooth for not having switches. Had no problem connecting my headset controller or keyboard either. Overall, I love the laptop. Good for gaming which I bought it for and good for school work with the fast refresh time. This was my 1st good laptop and included a 3060 rtx which i never believed could be put into a laptop so for my 1st gaming or actually a good laptop/pc I give it a 10/10. Also, I loved how it has a very silent keyboard built in so it won't distract you if you use it.

First time buying a gaming laptop. Im very pleased. After alot of research on builds for desktops and laptops, i decided with this one. Well and considering the high demand for computer parts right now, the graphics card, gpu, and the 240 hz display are great for the price. I ran a benchmark first thing after updating everything and was very pleased with it. I will be using this laptop for daily things and also some gaming. For the price, it is a good laptop. I will be buying a underfan cooler too just in case it runs a little hot.

It's not a bad laptop by any means. 2 major things. It does get very very hot when playing games longer than an hour. The charger port on it is poorly designed the charger becomes extremely lose, only took about 3 months before I needed to replace the bracket on the inside that holds it on the charger. Other than those 2 issues. It plays AAA titles at 120fps.

I have been looking everywhere for laptop with good specs. It have 16 GB RAM, 1TB SSD, 240Hz refresh rate and it has RTX 3060 at an affordable price. Most laptop don't have these specs not to mention at this price range. It's light for the size and the texture is really smooth. Perfect high end budget laptop for school and gaming.

I bought this laptop to upgrade an older one. I’m not a huge gamer these days, but have always preferred PC gaming to other platforms. The performance of the MSI GS66 Stealth is amazing. I’ve never owned an MSI product before, but will definitely purchase more in the future. This product meets and exceeds all expectations with speed and performance, storage, and graphic capabilities off the shelf.

Months in and I'm finally here to say. I really really like this laptop. I run mostly COD and it runs great!!! No much for storage but still really good. Only thing is the screen acts funny every now and again.

I decided to wait to post a review once I had used the laptop for a few weeks. I really like how fast everything opens/runs. I use this laptop for gaming with friends as well as use it for school/work. I have been able to run software that would drastically slow down my old laptop with no issue on this one. The graphics are great even with just the default settings. I really like how productive I can be with it then turn around and play some games. The fans are very quiet when I turn on the extra cooling. Overall, I would definitely recommend this laptop!

I was just browsing the web for a new computer, in more detail a new laptop so I can carry it to school for the new school year. I know I wanted a gaming laptop just for the speed and efficiency. I purchased this laptop once however the screen was defective so unfortunately I had to return it back to BestBuy. But I gave it another change and reordered the same laptop online because they did not have it in stock at the stores nearby. After a couple days of usage there hasn't been any problems with the laptop so I am very pleased. I would've given it a 5 star review but that was the only issue. For the price of the laptop, you get a 240hz display which makes gaming extremely smooth and easy on the eyes. Not only that the laptop has the newest i7 processor built in as long as with a RTX 30 series graphics card. I would recommend people buying this laptop!

very good laptop. A gaming laptop with a very thin and compact design that hides inside components of the highest range, very easy to use. It is very powerful and serves as a laptop to use in studies or other necessary things, I recommend it.

So far so good. Run fast, good graphics, nice design. However, the charger is too big, battery doesn't live long, and the fans are bit noise for me.

Work and Gaming Laptop! Can do a lot of stuff on it. Specs are amazing, 4K gaming, never had a glitch on screen, has the ultra fast - and noisy fan - option which is great to avoid overheating. Overall one of the best laptops I've ever had.

I have always wanted a gaming laptop. So far this thing is been pretty awesome. Though I like to play games quite a bit, I do not know much about new specs on laptops. After doing some research this seemed pretty good for the price I paid. So far I have been mostly using it for school. However, I have played a few games and it is nice to finally be able to set graphics to max on these games and see them at the greatest. The light up keyboard is pretty nice and the little extras here there are pretty impressive. I recommend checking these out if you're looking for a good gaming laptop.

I was coming from a GS63 Stealth, and the upgrade from the GTX 1060 was just what I was looking for. The GPU-CPU combo is a good match, and after a minimal undervolt, I am very happy with the performance and temperatures achieved in all my usual high performance graphics apps and games. I liked the sleek look of the GS63, so the GS66 did not disappoint there, and the added per-key RGB is a welcome addition when it comes to style!
