No dead pixels or backlight bleed on mine! This is a great monitor, everything you'd want in a high refresh IPS. Nice viewing angles, great colors, and no OLED burn-in anxiety. The OSD gives you almost total control (brightness, contrast, color temp, saturation, even gamma!) It's only got basic inputs (no usb hub, kvm, or thunderbolt) that's fine with me. I believe the 1500:1 contrast spec, the blacks do appear a bit darker than most IPS. The backlight is slightly dimmer than normal, but still plenty bright. (Usually, I set it to 35, here it's on 55). The one downside is that they really cheaped out on the Vesa mount. Even the stand requires Vesa bolts (no quick release), and the included bolts are terrible. They are made of very soft steel and the groves are shallow, so there's a real danger of stripping them. I ended up buying replacements, which is why the one star deduction. I also mounted it on a monitor arm, one that I've used previously. Normally it should take 2 minutes tops to get a monitor installed... this one took 20. Either the vesa holes are slightly off or the bolts really are that bad, but they just did not want to go in. Anyway, once you have it installed it works great, so it's a one time pain... but it is a pain. One thing I'd really like to see is one or two power only usb ports for monitor lights and such. I'm planning on using this more for productivity than gaming(I have an OLED for that). But 144hz should be the standard these days. At 300 nits, I wouldn't really call this an HDR monitor. But that's fine. So... if you want a great value IPS display that you can use without the headache of burn in, I recommend it. Just be very cautious when installing the stand or using the Vesa mount. I really want to give this 5-stars... but I had to supply my own bolts, so I just can't.
