This review is for the MSI Review Rebate Program. A review is required to receive a rebate on the products listed above. I was deciding between this model and the ASUS TUF GAMING Z790-PLUS WIFI D4. I ultimately picked this MSI model because it has more USB ports: 10 on this MSI model vs 8 on Asus's. It also has a premium audio codec via Realtek ALC4080, and I like MSI's EZ Debug LEDs. The VRM heatsink looks substantial, even though it doesn't have a heat-pipe like the MSI Edge. I have pretty good airflow in my case, so I haven't experienced any thermal issue. I installed the Thermalright anti-bending buckle on this motherboard and paired the motherboard with an Intel 13700k and Corsair Vengeance 3600Hmz DDR4 RAM, specially the CMH32GX4M2D3600C18W model. Everything fired up correctly the first try. No stability or overheating issue. Overall, it's a pretty solid board, but if I was to do it all over again, I would spend a little more and get the MSI Edge Z790 for a better aesthetic for my all-white build.

Great product!! it's my first mb to build a pc. I love it! In general, it's super easy to install and pretty straight forward. the manual could be a little more clear for first time user.

I had one of those "manufacturer specials" board with no back end support and very very little upgradability... I was kind of tired of this so I picked up this board. Not too bad for not being DDR5... I noticed a performance boost immediately in my WiFi signal strength as well as the fluidity of the frames/picture

Easy to assemble and install. Great material heavy and firm. Came from AMD so to use something like this and fall in love is amazing to me. Pairing it with an i5 13600k great temps even when throwing everything at it.

Lots of ports, easy setup, easy BIOS access/navigation, and pretty self-explanatory installation. Comes with a manual that helps with all ports plugins, which is helpful when trying to figure out the orientation of the power and reset switches.

Works pretty well. Make sure to use the included Flashdrive to flash BIOS if you need to (to work 14th Gen). Ran 64GB 4000Mhz RAM out of the box. Great temps on the 14700K. Make sure to download WiFi drivers before hand from another computer. Keep PL1/PL2 at 253 and drop down CPU Lite Load and LLC until stable. Idles in the 20-30C, Gaming in the 40-60C, and stress testing around 70-80C with a 280mm AIO.

Very easy to assemble parts into, the manual it comes with is helpful as well.

The Tomahawk series has always been a great product for gamers who want longevity in their motherboard. Their Z790 is no different. Fantastic, overbuilt product that i expect to last for years.

Used this for my first build, surprised at how much space it has for m.2s at a whopping four count, and i only use two! The integrated heatsinks are also very nice and help keep everything chilly, having four slots for ram is also nice.
