The MSI Z790 Gaming Plus WiFi has been an excellent motherboard so far. Installation was smooth, and updating the BIOS was simple and straightforward. All the internal headers and plug-ins are easy to access, which made the build process a breeze. Performance has been rock solid with no stability issues, and the built-in Wi-Fi works great. My only small complaint is that I wish it had a couple more RGB header plugs for better lighting flexibility. Overall, this board delivers great value, solid performance, and a very user-friendly setup. Definitely recommend it for anyone building a gaming PC on Z790 platform.

My previous Z690 from another manufacturer died, so I picked this one up to get my work computer going again as quickly as possible. This motherboard was fantastic quality, easy to install, and set up easily. After learning where things were in the BIOS adjusting the PWM and OC settings were simple. I am pleased and have 0 regrets.

The Z790 Gaming Motherboard is a solid choice for high-performance builds, with only a few minor quirks. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ First off, the build quality and design are impressive. The motherboard feels robust and well-engineered, with a sleek, modern aesthetic that fits perfectly in any gaming rig. The connectivity options are top-notch, offering plenty of USB ports, PCIe slots, and M.2 slots for all your expansion needs. The integrated Wi-Fi 6E and high-speed Ethernet are fantastic for ensuring fast and reliable network connections. Performance-wise, this motherboard delivers smoothly, with excellent support for the latest processors and high-speed RAM. Overclocking capabilities are strong, and BIOS customization options give you a lot of control to fine-tune your system. The onboard audio and cooling solutions also perform admirably, contributing to a stable and enjoyable gaming experience. However, the price point is a bit steep, and while it’s a premium board, it may not offer the best value for every user. Additionally, the BIOS can be somewhat intimidating for newcomers, and it might take a bit of time to get used to all the settings and options. Overall, the Z790 Gaming Motherboard is a high-quality, feature-rich choice that will meet the needs of most gamers and enthusiasts. It has a few minor downsides, but the performance and build quality make it a worthwhile investment.

Works amazingly well. Paired with a i9-14900k, no issues. Best purchase for a motherboard. Bios is not complicated, made everything simplistic.

This motherboard is easy on the wallet and very good in quality and quantity which is hard to find in the market! The IO is amazing and can plug in almost everything you will need in a setup, very easy to use, simplistic design with quality in mind and I don’t regret getting this MB and you should get it if you’re looking for an upgrade or a black out build

For builds that need a good quality motherboard like my setup (Intel Core i9 12900-KF, RTX 5070 Ti, 32GB DDR5 6000 CL30) I ABSOLUTELY recommend this motherboard. Its top of the line and is very similar in quality to the msi z790 tomahawk but cheaper and worth the price. The VRMs are good even for top tier builds that overclock and have high voltage draws. I got this motherboard for only $150 on black friday last year and i absolutely love it. It even looks good too. For this motherboard the sweet spot in RAM is DDR5 6000MHz 30CL. Beware of software because MSI Center may be buggy a little but other than that absolutely perfect.

Needed a board in a pinch and this is what was available. Great board with good features for the price. BIOS is easy to navigate, it has a dedicated button and port to flash it on the off chance you really mess up. Plenty of port

While the LGA1700 socket seems to be ending soon, you can underestimate how good this motherboard is. With 4 nvme ssd drives, clean look and ease of build this would be my top choice for a Z790 board. Building on this was relatively easy and didn’t need me checking the manual often because this board had everything I needed on it.

Works Flawlessly with my i5 14600K. Switched from Asus since they're overpriced for less specs

This mobo was exacly what i wanted. Ddr5 ram up to 128gb of ram. 5 m.2 gen 4 slots for plenty of storage. can overclock cpu and ram easily from bios. Has a lga 1700 socket and wil fit i5 i7 and i9 13,900k verions of cpu in it. Highly recommended for the price as it compares to the Z790 max and much better in price point!

Good job MSI for making quality mobo. Why did you only put 2 fan ports on the bottom for front fans when I have 3 front fans

Great motherboard - tons of connections, convenient layout, great fan and ARGB control... WIFI, bluetooth, latest USB 3.2x2. And for the price I don't think it can be beat. I happened to have a bad processor and MSI's customer support was superb as well.

Bought this board during Black Friday. Been getting parts in over a couple month span to build it. Came to install, there was a few bent pins. Contacted Best Buy, it’s out of their return policy and told me to contact MSI. Contacted MSI and told me they could send to RMA and replace the socket but cost me $65. Very upset with it.
