This game is a great value for the money. Tons of teams, play modes, and options. There’s even unlockable content, too! Gameplay is great, and you can tailor the experience to your liking. Don’t like player deaths? Tone down the violence level. Think the commentary is too over the top? Turn off the “R rated” option. The game is fun to play both against the computer and against a friend. It has a fast paced arcade feel, but still feels fair, and the games fly by quickly. For the $30 asking price, this game is a steal. If you were a fan of the original 16 Bit title (like yours truly) then you really couldn’t ask for more. Buy it without a second thought!

Well, as a kid not too old, my Mutant League Football (Sega Genesis) knowledge is nonexistent. But, the crazy, humorous, while still realistic enough football experience on Switch can be used as a formidable Madden clone. The graphics are well-detailed, while not too impressive, or over-the-top. You can do many crazy things, like kill other players and even refs, which adds to the overall hectic experience. Also, the players and announcers' dialogue are fantastic, and it includes a fitting soundtrack. Where this game lacks are the modes, or lack-there-of. Just your basic football game modes, nothing else really. No player or team customization, and no interesting side-modes to be found. The redeeming part of this, is the price point. I was able to pick it up only $20, which was perfect. For anything more, I think that this game doesn't offer enough content to be worth more. But, for what it offers, it is executed near-perfectly. Sheer fun, crude, vulgar content, just what you want from a game like this. 8/10.

This game is so similar to blood bowl that I wondered if it was a port or made by the same company. It’s really tongue in cheek funny. The commentary makes this title super fun. It’s an ok football game. Not super deep, but that’s not it’s intention either. If you want a super strategy footballer, go play madden. If you want to play football with all kind of monsters and laugh out loud, then this is easily worth its $30!

I've only played a few games of the playoff mode so far but there's some fun to be had with this game. This game isn't the best looking game graphically but it does offer a fun football game that's been missing on the Switch. The most annoying this so far is getting bogus penalties called over and over again but I believe that's an option you can turn off. I swear I ran 5 50+ yard touch down runs in a row and each one had a penalty called. Again part of the game to then decide to bribe or attack and kill the ref but was a little annoying. For $20 I think you can't go wrong with this game for some pick up and play football on Switch.

Like blitz but better in my opinion. It’s over the top football fun. I love football but don’t care for madden games. So when I heard about this one I had to try it out and am pleasantly surprised with how fun it is. It’s over the top violent and brutal lol. With teams being full of aliens, demons, robots, super humans, skeletons etc.. you can hit players after the play, kill then, use dirty plays to turn into a super beast or zap opponent with lightning. Now with the content and even language used it’s not for young kids. I’d say 14 and up I’d be ok with. But preference when it comes to that. Overall it’s just a fun arcade football game. 7 on 7 Over the top football. Oh and the dynasty mode is included in the switch version. All for $30. I think it’s a great deal and a great game to just pickup and play for a quick match or some quick dynasty fun.

Mutant football league has its flaws, but with some patients they can be overlooked. The controls are a little clunky and the modes are fairly random. What got me into the game was the dynasty mode.

I think this game is a ton of fun and I love the arcade style gameplay. I am so sick of Madden games and the over complicated controls and style of play. I miss the old days of playing for fun with games like cyberball. MFL takes me back to those days and I don't regret it at all!

There was a series called Mutant League Football and this is the spiritual successor. I absolutely love the NFL Blitz like 7 on 7 action. The humor is great, and each field has it's own death traps. Much better than it has any right to be.

My nostalgia for Mutant League Football got the better of me with this title. Visually, this does a good job bring the spiritual successor. Gameplay wise, not so much. Its hard to see deadly obstacles(docked or not) so you're killing your roster off constantly. The number of plays is extremely limited, and controls arent always the best. If you can get it for $15 or less, its worth trying. Otherwise, try the mobile version before dropping $30.

Great arcade football game with little bits of simulation thrown in. It has a bevy of playcalls, dynasty mode, and options to make it as fun or as unfun as you want. It also supports single joycon multiplayer which is great!

Reminds me alot of NFL blitz. Its wacky and over the top and r rated. Had a blast playing with friends. It's not a full priced game and so for the money it's worth it.

My rating is heavily influenced by nostalgia. I love the original Mutant League Football and this game captures much of the same spirit. The gameplay can be frustrating, but the controls are smooth. The announcers are obnoxious and the jokes are immature, but if you are buying this game you should be expecting that. Overall the game is fun and challenging and I would recommend it for anyone that likes MLF or NFL Blitz.

mutant league football was a side diversion from EA a long time ago that played like madden but with more violence, gore, and humor. this reprisal on switch (and ps4 and x1) plays fine and it's somewhat gimmicky in the sense that once you see all the animations and stuff, the game is just average. it is a game where you play a bit, put it down for a few months, and come back to it when next football season starts.

This is a sort of clone/remake of the old game Mutant League Football, they just changed the name around a little bit. It's not quite as nostalgic as it could have been but they've done a fairly decent job of keeping true to the original while adding a few additional gameplay elements.

Its a fun game if you want to play football with a big twist!

If you're looking for something that tries to evoke Mutant League Football and NFL Blitz...this definitely tries, but it doesn't quite pull it off. Still, it's playable and there aren't a lot of other football options on Switch so if you can pick it up cheap it's not bad.

Mutant Football League brings a desperately needed NFL Blitz type of arcade football game to Nintendo Switch! The gameplay is fast, fun and insane! Funny stage hazards, dirty playa and dynasty mode add on lots to replay value to the game. If you’re into football and especially arcade style sports games, pick up this game for switch

This game is great if you grew up playing NFL Blitz. While not quite to the standard of those, this is a perfectly fine game to scratch that itch. Occasionally it can feel like passes just go through defenders. The online works well for me and my friend to play against each other. A steal if you can pick it up on sale.

I haven't played this game a ton but I have been impressed with the level of detail. The game play is pretty standard arcade style football. Great for couch play with a friend. The level to detail with all the teams, players, stadiums etc is very impressive. I highly recommend this game for any football fan
