I had been looking for such a machine to be able to develop my large number of slides into treasured pictures. It is such an easy process and the results are a joy!

Good quality scan. Has the built in ability for picture adjustments. Brightness-color-contrast. Nice unit to take with you, has an SD slot. Impressed with print sizes available for scanning. 3x5-4x6-5x7.This is a very fast scanner too. The longest part is deciding which picture is next. will be taking to relatives to finally get copies of the family pictures. Without needing a computer. can see scan on the screen.

This thing is pretty neat, had over 2000 slides to go through and the overall quality of the slides once put on an SD card is better than what you would expect out of slides that old, of course these slides were in great condition too, it definitely served it's purpose at a low cost for my 87 year old Aunt who had not seen these in 30+ years... Would definitely recommend if you have too many to pay for per slide

I bough this because i have all types of tapes, pic, negatives and films, so this one is a saver it all i need, not more not less. is really easy to operate as 1, 2, 3, memory card slot, usb slot, frames, film, negatives, the only negative thing that i have agains it is: when you scan your negatives or pictures even if you set it up right comes a bit yellowish, but that's about it. it has a compact size, easy as cake, it has everything you need, is the hole cake.

Previously I used an HP printer/scanner which had a slide/negative scanning capability. This device results in better images for slides and negatives. The photo holders also make scanning those in a bit easier as well.

Got this as a gift so they could more easily transfer photos and print them. The receiver travels to their parents a lot and this is small enough to throw in the car to print out pics of grand/great-grandchildren which was part of the decision process. So far, they have said only good things! The ability to print or transfer to/from a SD card is a huge bonus.

Not intuitively obvious to use, but spend a little quality time with the instructions and you're all set. I'm using the scanner with an iMac OS X Yosemite; no problems at all, the photos are imported by the Photos app. The scanner contains some basic image manipulation features but it's easier to work with the images on the computer. The good: it's fast, scans film, slides, and photos, and can be used without hooking it up to a computer (it has built-in storage and a power adapter). The bad: the frames used for holding photos are not adjustable; if your photo does not match one of the preset sizes you have to improvise. The largest photo you can scan is 5x7.

I have used it over and over. It works great. I can see the background black tray, but... the pictures are small and getting them digitized makes it worth it. So easy and fast to use, I have no complaints about the output. The pictures can then be altered on PhotoShop or other software.

This product is easy to use and quick to setup. The results are average - with some resolutions better than others, depending on the available light in the source slide. However the sharpness of the resulting digital image is not very high quality, but decent enough for the price of the product.

I love this little magic box. The Ion PICS 2 SD is fantastic for scanning slides in no time at all. It does a group of 4 slides at a time, taking only a second or so for each. The digital images are written to a SD card for easy transfer to a computer. And it did not cost a fortune to buy. For anyone like me who has tons of slides, this tool is the answer to preserving those precious memories.

This photo scanner does as promised, it scans and, in my case, saves the scanned photos to an SD card for transference to my computer. This is a great way to save old pictures from before digital to a safe place. So often old pictures fade and are lost. This scanner saves the memories. One minor 'complaint', some of the scanned photos, for some reason or another, reflect the scanner 'eye' and store it on the photo. It doesn't happen often, but occasionally you'll see it. Overall, it's a good value for the money and something to consider if you want to save the memories.

no loss of picture quality, easy to understand program.

The scanner is very easy, does not require a computer interface so it will not become obsolete with the next new operating system as some of my previous scanners did. It hasn't got the sharpness or resolution of the typical $5000 scanner but for under $200 it can't be beat. I highly recommend it.

Does the job quite well for a home product. Not automated like professional machines. Scanned images have excellent quality. This machine is the answer to what to do with all your old non-digital images.

This worked well for my slides and some of my negatives. However it doesn't do every size negative, so I still need to find another one.

An excellent value for the money. (Several years ago I bought a film scanner, and it cost me $700)! Am very pleased with its ease of use, and commendable scanning quality.

I bought it to test how it works. It's ok for people who have a lot of film negatives and want to locate certain photo. Very limited tools on machine that allow you to edit photos. They have better version now.

I bought it as a gift. The recipient has so far only used it to scan slides. He has not tried to do movie film yet but thinks that might be vey time consuming. The directions were easy to understand so far. He likes the product.

This was very easy to use, and even though I could only scan four slides at a time, I was able to work very quickly. I was able to scan and upload over 600 of my Dad's old slides from the 1950's to the 1970's. We haven't been able to see these slides for many, many years! This product was just what we needed!
