I find this TV very difficult to rate. It's a beautiful TV in of itself. But unfortunately when compared to the 77" s90c it's slightly lacking. The bestbuy website said 1 store within 50 miles had the 83" on display. I called the bestbuy number and they told me that yes, this exact model was on display so I drove over. It wasn't. But the 77" was and I fell in love with it. Now this is the most important part of this review. What I wasn't told when I fell in love with the 77" s90c on display is that although the 83" has the s90c model name it is the ONLY one with a different OLED screen. And it's made by LG. Read that again. Even though it has the same s90c model name it's very different from the other sizes. That isn't a bad thing, however Samsung TVs have QD OLED technology (quantum dot) which is brighter and slightly more vibrant than standard WOLED. This 83" s90c is much closer to the LG 83" C3 OLED. However, it's lacking the Dolby Vision that's in the LG C3. I was told the 83" would be identical to the 77" but just bigger. I was sold... If I had known all this before purchasing it, renting a U-haul van to pick it up, and mounting it to my wall I would have opted for the slightly smaller 77" s90c. I paid $3,999 for the 83" and the 77" is currently $2,499. For $1,500 less I think I could have been happy with a TV 2" less in height and 2.5" less per side. If only I had done more homework... With all that said, this is still an excellent TV. Which makes me feel bad for rating this so low. But sadly Samsung is a bit cryptic about this models OLED and it shouldn't be sold under the s90c model name. I love Samsung but this is a bit questionable. If I had known better I would have saved $1,500 and purchased a slightly smaller TV with a brighter QD OLED screen. But there's no way I'm going to take this monster back down off the wall, try to repackage it in the box (that box is not meant to be used again after opening) and do this process all over again with a 77". Consider these comparable TVs in this order: 1) 77" s90c (if you want the best picture) 2) 83" LG C3 3) 83" s90c (close tie to the LG esp if you like Samsung) If you absolutely want the 83" size then this TV or the LG C3 are both great options. I do think the Samsung looks sexier, though!

Nothing beats the image quality of an OLED. I also have zero issues with brightness and my TV is right next to two large windows. I honestly have zero complaints about this TV. I another great surprise is how good the built in speaker sounds if you want minimal equipments.

Our first OLED, we bought this 2023 model in September 2024 at an amazing discount price, and really hit the jackpot! After a few weeks with it, I still marvel at the amazing quality of the image it produces, even at extreme angles, and the super slimness of the massive screen. We have it set up in a large "great room," with an open floor plan that provides a view from a side kitchen and bar area. The incredible picture is just as bright and detailed from the very wide angle as it is from straight-on. I cannot rate the speaker sound as I have it connected via HDMI to a Yamaha sound system (which produces incredible theater quality surround sound). Hand-down this is the best TV purchase I've ever made.

I had the TV for 3 months and it works great so far and the colors are great. Controls are easy amd very happy with it .

Absolutely AWESOME picture quality!! It’s like you’re watching out you living room window(a clean living room window, lol), and the program is taking place in your front yard. We already owned a Samsung 4k CrystalHD, it’s a great tv, Samsung makes a very good product. But the difference in picture quality between that and the OLED, is Stunning! 10 STARS!

Great quality, but the Alexa functionality is average at best. I have it synced to an echo dot and it never communicates well. Also, if you’re playing Spotify, the screen blacks out after less than a minute with no ability to change the screen saver. Split screen doesn’t work unless you’re doing two separate applications which is useless. Q symphony is really nice though, definitely recommend getting a Samsung soundbar to utilize it, but it only works with hdmi, not Bluetooth. Also, when I got my tv, it came cracked and the geek squad took it back immediately. Then it was a nightmare of endless phone calls and fake promises of credits and delivery dates until I got it weeks later, but that’s just a Best Buy problem.

I’m absolutely thrilled with the 83” S90C OLED. The picture quality is stunning with deep blacks, vivid colors, and excellent contrast make movies, shows, and games look cinematic. This TV is like a “home theater” experience. Smart TV features via Tizen are smooth and convenient, and switching between streaming apps or gaming on console works seamlessly

Just a Beautiful Picture and Size Matters. Almost purchased the LG C3 77 inch during 4th of July sales. All the 83's were over $4k and I had rated the Samsung highest with the LG second. Labor day hit, saved $2k and got my first choice. Patience pays!

Bought for our home theater I hated our prior projector quality, I don’t notice HD and those other things in fact tv’s but I can sure tell the difference if the Oled will be purchasing more!

Fan of Samsung and this TV does fits the need for larger screen on a large wall. Great picture, features and the price was competitive during the holiday sales. Suggested it for my brother that bought one as well. Not using the TV sound with HDMI connection to Onkyo A/V receiver.

Though I found out my panel had a crack from shipping & u can see vertical lines in dusk type scenes, the rest of the time the picture looked great.

I've had the new TV for 3 weeks now. So far the pitcher has been excellent. I have no regrets on this purchase.

This TV is fantastic! The picture is the clearest I have ever seen. We added a new sound bar as well to give us the Q-symphony quality sound.

Phenomenal picture. TV leans backwards 5 degrees on included base, which looks awkward and disrupts the viewing experience. Samsung tech came out and agreed that the TV shouldn’t sit like that. He called support and they closed the ticket with no explanation. When I called back I was told the engineers agreed that there was nothing wrong with the TV.

Great overall Tv and great brightness. Interferace on TV is great as well!
