My review is slanted more toward the art frame vs. tv as my main purpose in buying the frame is to display digital artwork in my entry. I didn't find the wall installation to be much of a problem although I can understand some of the angst about the way it's done. Given the spacing on the TV brackets, you can only hit one stud and even then with only one screw. The remaining three screws go into the drywall in my case. Knowing this, I bought Toggler wall mounts which made the job easy...just tape the template on the wall knowing that I can only hit one stud. The 43" version only weighs something like 20 lbs, so the Toggler fasteners can easily support much more that that. I took extra care to be sure that I taped the template level to avoid any issues. The instructions are a bit cryptic using only diagrams and some explanation/FAQ might have been more helpful. I did look online for videos but didn't run across any for the 43" model. The art display is really cool and I've already loaded several of my own digital images (cropped to 16x9) using the SmartThings app on my iPhone. I don't fully understand all the options and nuances of running slideshows, etc. but the online manual is quite comprehensive and will require some study. I like the black frame and it does fit pretty flush to the wall. I have since ordered a white frame bezel that is on backorder. I will likely subscribe to the art gallery as there is a free 30-day trial. I have looked at the smart TV options and the picture looks great as well. So far I am pretty excited to see some of my own art work on the wall and have used Adobe Photoshop to give some of my photos a "painterly" look. It's expensive for what I am using it for, but for what it does, I thing it's something our family will enjoy for years to come.

It is a great idea and conversation starter. People are shocked it is a TV. The free art is limited but they will sell you a membership/art subscription but it costs $4.99/month after purchase. The TV has a great picture. There is a mood feature that is pretty cool. It creates a vibe. I wish the tv could be both flush and pull out from the wall to swivel. I bought the tv and then it went on a deep discount 16 days after I bought my tv and Best Buy would not refund the difference. I thought poorly of that decision.

My daughter bought a 2022 version of this TV and I couldn't believe it was a TV hanging above her fireplace. I was jealous and happened to be browsing at the Best Buy outlet and saw the open Box for the 2021 version. I do see the difference between the 2022 and the 2021 versions and the newer one looks like an actual textured painting and the 2021 version a backlit photo. I got a great deal on it so I can't complain. My son also got one for his house and showed me a website to download additional paintings for free. It has a slide show feature and also has a lot of smart features and it's own Built-in program guide and you don't really need a cable/ Satellite company to be able to view lots of channels. If I didn't already have a fairly new 65" Samsung in my other room I would seriously consider upgrading. I'm still trying to figure out the settings so it turns off so I don't have a painting displayed all night.

We bought a house that was built in 1912-14 and didn’t want a plain sight tv so we bought the “frame” tv and couldn’t be any happier with the way the tv can display old oil paintings. The picture is stunning when watching and incognito when not. A-MAZE-ING!! I included pics of how it looks so far all I have to do is hide the wire to feed tv and hide speakers.

The Samsung Frame looks more like an expensive painting than a television and you can change the picture every day if you wish. It features a great variety of contemporary, modern, scenic and landscape art. And oh, by the way, the Samsung television picture is top rate flight. All of your straming favorites are there.

I honestly have never had a tv with solar panel remote and the HD is awesome

Things I didn’t know. This is half the thickness of the 2020 version (I think I would have liked the thicker bezel). Due to it belong so thin, it no longer uses the “no gap” mount and instead uses two small square metal brackets. It works, but it feels cheaper and wow is it ever confusing on how to hang. The instructions are non existent and uses pictures instead. There is also nothing online that will show what to do, I assume that this is only for smaller TVs like the 43” I got. The picture is pretty good but the refresh rate seems less than advertised. The “art mode” is nice but the preloaded “Samsung plus” is so Dang annoying and even though I deleted the app- it still plays. Other people have had this issue as well.

I purchased this TV (43") for the sole use as a computer monitor. So, this review is for the TV as a monitor only. I have not used it to watch anything, although I may buy a second one for my bedroom. After some initial hiccups, I love it. If you are design-oriented and love simple setups that blend in with your home, this is for you. I use a 2019 Macbook Pro and the CalDigit TS3+ as a hub. The hub connects to the TV with a displayport -> hdmi cable. Although it will do 4k 60hz, I dropped it to 2k simply because everything renders extremely small when at 4k. The colors and text quality are all perfect. Pros: - simply beautiful looking on the wall - highly performant, connects to my computer on wake-up within seconds (thanks to TS3+ hub) - art-mode when I'm not at the desk is great - seemingly wireless...as a desk set-up the One Connect box idea works perfectly since the box sits behind the desk and out of sight. Your monitor will basically look like a piece of art of the wall. - extremely lightweight since most of the bulk is in the One Connect box...I installed it on the wall without any help Cons: - Depending on your machine, you may need a hub, and I'd recommend an expensive one (CalDigit TS3+ / $300). I tried cheaper hubs and they didn't connect to the TV very well upon wake-up. Probably not a fault of the TV but of the hub! - Could be considered pricey, but I think worth it for what you get. - Takes a bit of fiddling with settings to get the computer and TV to maximize quality. There are several Youtube videos on exactly how to do this. I achieved 2-4k 60hz with my 2019 Macbook Pro, but keep in mind that sometimes the most important piece of the puzzle is high quality cables and hubs!

It displays artwork and doubles as a TV. The artwork resolution is impressive - it really looks like a piece of art. The only reason for the 4 stars is the mount. The template did not exactly match the dimensions of the TV. And the wall anchors provided are garbage and will not work on drywall. The combo of both made the install a real pain as there is no room for error. After buying the correct wall anchors and redrilling the mounting holes, it was worth it in the end.

Use case: this TV is going into a multi-purpose bedroom that is also an exercise room. This tv will only be used to display art content and look like a picture frame for most of the time. However, this will also be used to display workouts on an Apple TV via Fitness+. I do not have much opinion on the built in apps and other Samsung software offerings because I disagree with their ad targeting, data collection and reselling practices. However, the cost of the tv is only as low as it is because of those data collection and brokering practices. Would I opt out of most data collection practices if that could be easily done while not suffering a lesser software experience for my tv purchase..? Yes, yes I would. Is that currently possible? No, no it is not. The Pros: Good picture quality for the particular screen tech The complimentary digital art is attractive The one connect system is attractive in theory The Cons: The one connect connector cable is too dainty and not UL rated for hiding behind walls. A UL rated option is available for an extra 300.00 which is rather ridiculous considering that the VC point of This product is to not look like a tv. The included wall mounting solution is rather finicky and not at all particularly easy to level and mount (they’ve given the bare minimum effort in the wall mounting solution for the 43 inch model).

I wanted something classy that didn't look like a TV and could be used to display vacation photos. This works perfectly for my bedroom. It blends in and looks like a photo frame when not in use and works as good TV when I want to watch Netflix before bed. Samsung must have heard some of the complaints here, because my TV came with the fill size mounting template. I taped it against the wall, drilled my holes, inserted drywall anchors, and then hung the TV. Samsung's drywall anchors sucked and I used better ones from home depot. Overall, I am very happy with this TV and it fits my exact use case perfectly.

Awesome for displaying Art or family photos, excellent picture quality, art looks very realistic, super easy to mount with included hardware, wish there were better slideshow functions programmed in and wish the customizable frames were better quality rather than flimsy plastic

Amazing picture quality and I like the way it looks on the wall. The price is a little high but was able to find it on sale. I like the way it looks mounted on the wall although mounting it was a little difficult.

this was my first 4K tv not my first Samsung. The picture is great and the design even better, Placed this TV in the living room above the piano. Several times guests couldn't tell it is a TV until I put on a show.

excellent picture on HD programming. Sound is good for a built-in speaker. The Gallery images of great art is very good. The marketing for this was a little misleading. You must subscribe to an expensive service to get anything worthwhile. The images that are included in the price are junk. The quick set-up instructions are incomplete. If your remote does not work, look at the bottom of a page of detailed instructions for how to "pair" it with the TV. None of the salesmen at Best Buy knew about this. They tried hard to help, but had not been trained in how to turn on a new TV. The wireless connection to an iPad works, but is unreliable. I plan to use a direct HDMI link. Phone support for creating a Samsung account, which was supposed to get access to good art, was friendly and tried hard, but was unsuccessful, in part because the process is complex and obscure. All in all, a good product but lacking in support. Samsung should hire a good human factors engineer. Failing that, just observe a sample of unprepared customers, or even employees, while they set up one of your new smart TVs, and learn from that.
