I actually bought my first copy of this DVD back when it first came out in the 90s. I also saw/heard Eagles play on this tour at Cleveland's old Muni stadium and they were phenomenal. This disc is too. I give it 5 stars because it was the benchmark for recorded live music. The sound quality in pcm stereo rivals CD sound and the 5.1 dts sound is even better. Smooth, warm and lively like vinyl with superb detail & seperation. The band plays flawlessly. They are perfectionists after all. The pic quality is superb for standard def. be aware it's in the old 4:3 format, not wide screen.

Some things are better with age. The first time that I saw this back when it was on TV, first, I only partially watched it, since I wasn't a big eagles fan. When the Farewell Tour came out a few years ago on HD-DVD I was really wowed with it. I haven't been disappointed with the new Blu-ray edition either, which made me want to seek out this dvd. It is really good, after all. Now, if they could release it on Blu-ray...

Having been an Eagles fan for *many* years, I was excited th learn that they were to have been recipients of Kennedy Center Honors this past December, however they delayed their appearance due to Frey's poor health. What a shame that his health didn't improve, and now the honor will be posthumous for Frey. This dvd is an indispensable part of my collection.

The greatest band at their best. You could tune a guitar to their live vocals. The lighting and sound quality make it a very enjoyable show to watch. Every song is a classic greatest hit.

I loved this CD when it first came out, and only recently discovered the DVD. Makes it even more of a keeper since losing Glen Fry. If you like the Eagles, you should love this.

I have a few concerts in dvd form but I wanted something with Glenn Frey since he pasted away . This is a great dvd to have for my collection.

Grew up watching this concert many times on TV Great Eagles performance. Had to add to my collection.

I've been an Eagles fan for many years and Hell Freezes Over does a great job of telling the story of how the Eagles decided to give it another shot after 14 years of silence..... They never officially broke up, they just decided to stop playing after a grueling and stressful long tour back to back year after year in the 70's. If you buy this DVD, when you put it in your player make sure to take advantage of its dts 5.1 audio option instead of just 2 channel stereo. They did a fantastic job recording each track and utilizing each (provided you have at least a 5.1 system) discreet channel (individual speaker) to create an immersingly true depiction of being at the concert. You feel like you're on the front row as Frey, Felder, Schmidt, Walsh & Henley pull it all back together again beginning with their most famous track Hotel California. Absolutely fantastic concert, and they actually sounded better than they did in the 70's.....

DVD was cyrstal clear and the songs were perfectly live. That's a rarity considering a lot of bands lip synch. The members' voices have changes a little but much for the better. Joe Walsh with his unique voice attained my respect aging gracefully. They all have gifts beyond comprehension after so long in the business. I only wish I could have gone to a show. But this , though shorter than a live concert fiilled the hole nicely.

I do not consider myself an Eagles fan, but, after watching this DVD at a friend's house, I just had to buy my own! And, this purchase is a gift for a real Eagles Fan! I hope he finds it as awesome as I did!!!
