Such a great comedy nobody talks about. The spin on making curse words into a PG era is worth the price of buying the movie all by itself.

The only reason I bought this on DVD is because it's not sold on bluray, but the movie itself still holds up after almost 40 years.

Good to see a Michael Keaton comedy from his early days. Very watchable before he got into this all these dramatic roles

I love this movie sure brought back memories from when I first saw this movie, still a very funny movie I love this movie.

I've been looking off and on for this movie for years and finally stumbled across it at Best Buy. I initially saw this one in the theater when it was released as part of a group of middle school Catholic students on an organized trip to the movies during school hours. Obviously our teachers at the time didn't bother to read the reviews or know what to expect out of a PG-13 movie (a new rating at the time), otherwise I'm positive we wouldn't have been allowed to go. Being repressed Catholic students, though, we loved it! For the most part, the comedy still holds up after all of these years. The cast is filled with recognizable stars with some in their prime. I'm also glad that the opening song, "This Is the Life" by Weird Al Yankovich, has been restored to this version instead of the substitute opening that ended up on the VHS version of the movie.

Keaton was a great at comedy before he took on dramatic roles so was hands down on adding this to my collection

I was able to make my wife really happy with this purchase. This is one of her all-time favorite movies.

Johnny Dangerously is an old school,hilarious comedy. Best Buy has amazing prices on their discount dvds.

This movie came out in my youth. While it is silly it has funny parts. Brings back memories.

Very funny movie. Absolutely worth the few bucks it costs.

Even though it was only available on DVD, at $5 I simply had to snag this movie! Best comparison would be "The 'Airplane' of gangster movies". I was worried when I couldn't find any mention of anamorphic wide-screen on the package, but I was reassured once I popped the disc in that, yes, it will format properly for a 16:9 television. Highly recommend!

This is a campy movie, but still funny. Not a bad deal for the price.

Funny movie, aimed more at adults than kids. Lots of innuendo and sight gags. Micheal Keaton, Joe Piscopo, and Marilu Henner give great comedic performances. It's a movie we like watching time and again.

the whole cast was superb, one of those silly 80's movies, and there were many!! good laughs, pranks and dialogue. if you liked 3 o'clock high, mr mom, and are over 40 most def, younger gens and kids may not laugh much, different sense of humor

Told as a long flashback from a reformed gangster, now pet shop owner, this is a humorous and creative story of how a kid rose to power and then throws it away to protect his brother who has become the DA. Worth a look.
