This game blends golf with RPG elements to create a delightful game. The golf part of the game is already a solid experience. However what really pulled me in was the story, clever writing, and humor that the game is infused with. I was happy to see that this game got a physical release and I think it is definitely worth a playthrough if you are looking for a twist in the usual RPG formula.

Golf Story has been an interesting and fun experience. I bought it because I was craving a golf game and with PGA Tour 2K21 not out yet I saw this on sale. It is more reminiscent of the old PGA Tour game from the early 1990's with the power bar and very basic information on reading the greens which is more art than science in this game. There are plenty of challenges to take on in addition to just playing a round of golf. These challenges range in difficulty and skill needed to complete and add a nice mix of activities to get you to keep playing.

I don't even like golf but I read some reviews for this game initially and decided to blind buy it. Definitely worth it for the classic 16-Bit style and blends golf elements with RPG to create a fun filled game that has loads of humor and surprisingly a well written story for the type of Indie title that it is. An extra plus for having a physical copy also. If you like RPG style games, you will love this game.

Relaxing game, but also the story makes you come back for more. Inexpensive way to kill time

For me the core game was an unexpected surprise. This top down RPG centers around golf as it's core concept, having you not only play traditional rounds of golf but also by using golf to overcome obstacles and help others in the world. The tight and satisfying controls make the gameplay fun while the quirky story and witty writing makes the game hilarious and memorable. And the fact that Best Buy has partnered with Limited Run to bring certain games into stores makes for a great option for collecting these otherwise digital only games.

I like the concept of a sports RPG. The style and humor make it great. The nolstagia style is great paying homage to old school RPGs. Something different for hardcore RPGers.

I heard great things about this game and I love the retro look of the game, but it doesn't really give you any sort of direction on what or where to go to find the missions. I felt I spent more time looking up what to do next than what I was playing The gameplay, when you play it, is great.

Love the old school graphics, and how the heck can a GOLF RPG be so good??? It really is a great game, and you don't even have to be a fan of the PGA to get into this game. If you collect for Switch then this is a cheap title, and well worth it. A great game to play when you're burnt out on all the heavy hitters the Switch has to offer, and cheap enough to give it a shot.

I bought this before a trip and played it the majority of the time. It was a lot of fun, simple mechanics but the story and characters all have lots of charm.

Downloaded this awhile back and saw this physical edition release a year later. I decided to buy it and no, I'm not a collector. I really enjoy the stress free gaming and short humorful story/gameplay that GS provides. I still hate "Galf" though, but have beaten this game somewhere around 4-5 times and I've revisited everytime I can't figure out what game to play...it always hits the spot.

This may be the best indie game on the switch! And a great price to match

I have this game and love it. My friend was on the fence about it so I grabbed it for him as a birthday present... I want more people to play this game. It’s an RPG with golf. You can play it as a golf after you finish the story. It has funny moments and kept me entertained. Man, this is a such a good game!

Fun overhead golf game with rpg elements. Retro in style with a bit of dry humor in story mode. Would recommend.

As a retro gamer, I always enjoy when games come out using older styles. Here you have a game that uses 16 bit type graphics for a golfing rpg. That sounds incredible odd, but it works and it works great! The actual golfing is alot of fun. The gameplay is engaging when you golf. The RPG elements of talking to characters and progressing through the story is also fun. I never thought i would ever enjoy a golfing RPG. The writing is clever. Also this game being released physically is awesome. LRG and Best Buy teamed up to get this in stores (LRG also sold it but it's gone now) and from what I hear the quantities of these are EXTREMELY limited. Just a heads up if you were thinking of picking this up.

Classic 2D RPG style golf game. Reminds me of a standard nintento game from the original console in terms of graphics and gameplay. Fun play if you enjoy golf and old school RPG type games.
