This years MyPlayer is so deep and detailed. Really like you have to grind to become great this time!

I play this everyday ! Best b-ball game ever. Knicks fans remember that season with Jeremy Lin? That was an epic year to be a knicks fan... and in this edition you can even go back to that year and play with J.Lin on the knicks. Sooo cool, the my career got revamped and requires a lot of grinding if you wanna ball with me. Bring it on, I been saying this since day 1: “Ball is Life”

This game has amazing gameplay with realistic play from each specific player. Call out offensive plays and set your defense to your preference and play as your favorite team. Easy enough for the beginner but endless challenge for the expert to master the moves. Online play is pretty good but to be smooth you will need a fast internet connection.

The NBA 2K series is hands down the best basketball game series ever. Year after year this series put NBA Live to shame. The graphics are outstanding and I'm playing on a standard PS4 and on a 1080p plasma tv. I can't tell you how many times people have said they thought I was watching a real game. The graphics are awesome. The sound is excellent as well. You'll hear side commentary from people like Kobe Bryant talk about the game and what their experience was while they played. The commentators talk realistically about what they are "seeing" in the game and show emotion when big plays occur. The also give commentary on specific players and the amount of voice work is staggering. One thing I will say is that if you have played the last few games in the series, you will hear some things you have heard before. Don't get me wrong, the game does not recycle the same thing over and over, but when you play the game for hours, you're bound to hear some repetition. I think 2K need to up their game and add a little more during the next season. Game play is where it counts for any game and this is where NBA 2K just blows the competition away. The basic controls are fairly easy to grasp but the controls are deep. You'll need to invest a lot of time into mastering the controls to be able to pull off some of the fancier moves. Once learned, muscle memory kicks in but the process of learning all the moves beyond the basics will take some work. If you are a NBA basketball fan, this is your game, period. You need not look anywhere else.

NBA 2K18 is another step forward on the court, improving on the series’ already great gameplay. You’re rewarded for smart, controlled basketball when dribbling, driving, and playing defense in ways that make sense for the players you’re controlling. In the side modes, results are mixed: the new fusion of Career mode elements into The Neighborhood gives it some new life, but the same can’t be said for the meaningless story elements within MyGM, and microtransactions now have too much of an impact on gameplay. There’s far more good than bad, though, and NBA 2K18 deserves credit for taking chances.

I am new to the whole 2K NBA experience, but I've got to admit that I am hooked! Much better than 2K17, IMO. Now I need more time to play!

Graphics looked great on youtube videos - going to be a Christmas present for my son.

Best basketball game out right now. Don't play NBA Live 18 this far exceeds that game. Graphics, motion, career mode 5 stars

This game has the great graphics they are known for and the game play is usaull but still best year they have made

NBA 2K17 was one of the best titles of the year. So why would there be a need to get 2K18? It's the same game only better. This year's version features a new All-Time Greatest team for each NBA franchise expanding into an even greater library of legendary players. There is also a nice feature that cancels out duplicate legends so your customized league multiple Michael Jordans running around. These are great additions if you like to draft your own league like I do.

I buy this for my nephew for his birthday every year, and every year he asks for it again. I guess they're doing something right! One thing I can say is the presentation of the game is so realistic it's... unreal. Player animation and motion is scary accurate, and from what I've seen the new game (story?) mode is very well put together. For a near monopoly on the market, glad to see they are still putting energy into making the game worth playing over and over.

If you have a PS4, the graphics with this game look superb. Somehow, this franchise continues to elevate the quality of the game. The realism of the graphics and the sound are outstanding. Year after year. This is by far the best basketball game on the market. The only room left is to add virtual reality to the game. I am sure that is coming next. Fun game & amazing graphics. Great for all ages, super fun when playing with others! Worth buying.

overall the game is 5 out of 5. from the graphics, to game play. I give it a full 5 out of 5.

Very realistic, smooth gameplay. In depth career mode.

The NBA 2K series is just sad now. The on-court basketball action is still good, but it's worse than Star Wars Battlefront 2 with how it tries to get you to buy microtransactions by making everything a grind. What used to be free in past games now cost VC. It's essentially a P2W mobile game in a $60 wrapping. If you really need a basketball game, this is really your only option (NBA Live is still years behind), but I say wait for this to go on sale for like $39.99.

Play is much better! Good career mode. Finally a voice the fits the character.

If you liked last years game you'll love this one...game and graphics awesome.
