A: Last I check, Netflix doesn't have a Year subscription. Their plans are Monthly for basic with ads $6.99 a month, Basic $9.99, Standard $15.49 and Premium $19.99. My advise If you don't already have a Netflix account, try the gift card and try it. If you do choose to get a Netflix plan go with the basic with ads. or the Basic for $9.99. It isn't worth going with the higher plans. Hope that helps.

Q: Can one use a Netflix gift card to buy a Netflix DVD subscription? (I and receiver of gift live in the US)

A: I believe you need a credit/debit card on your netflix account to have the dvd subscription so they can charge you if the dvd is not returned. The netflix cards bought in a store will work for a regular netflix subscription but not one with dvd service

Q: can they be used on line and/or at a physical location that carries the movies? And do you need to set up some sort of account to rent movies on line?

A: I believe so, if you have the ability to have Netflix via Laptop, start phone, digital devise, smart TV's. Set up your Netflix account, add the money from this card to your account. Then go to where ever you need/want to go and log on to the Netflix app/icon and you should be ok. However, Netflix may have issue if you attend to sign on to too many different locations. I would suggest you contact Netflix and ask then. I hope this helps.

Q: Can these be used internationally, specifically in Canada and Europe?

A: I'm assuming if you have a Netflix account it wouldn't matter. As long as Netflix is in your area. Think of this, I would go on to Netflix.com and go to the Help section and wright a question. I about 99% sure it would work. I'm not 100% because I live in the US and how Netflix works internationally I'm not sure. If these cards are available internationally I can assume they would work, but being this particular care is for American dollars. I don't know. Sorry.

A: I believe so, it's been a while. But I think you have to give them a CC to generate a log on account. BUT, you have an option to choose how to pay for your subscription. So generate your log on profile, give the necessary information. But before you actually start to watch anything. Hopefully you had already purchased a Netflix card, at the same time you generate your account. Add the Netflix card to your account. Keep in mind, once the money from the card runs out Netflix will then charge you're CC. So once you get an e-mail from Netflix telling you your $$ on the gift card is running, go purchase another one. How long the money last depends on the subscription/plan you get. I hope this helps.

Q: Does the recipient of a Netflix gift card need a computer or smartphone?

A: In order to stream Netflix, the recipient would need the ability to scream Netflix online some how. If the recipient has access to a Smart TV, just down load the Netflix app, hopefully they already have an online account. If not they would need to generate one. Then they would be able to scream via the smart TV. If not I don't think this would be a good gift. I hope this helps.
