This is my third NetGear router for the last 10 or so years and what compelled me to get this is the fact that I just barely realized that I should be taking advantage of Charter Spectrum's base 200-gig speed. So far, it's consistently read 200-some gigs per wireless test with a few dips here and there depending on the device and location. My 2-story house is close to 2,000 sq-ft and even at the farthest corners outside and within the house the signal and connection is great. This is super simple to setup but can be head-scratching at first as the instructions make it sound like you can only manage it using the Nighthawk app when in reality you can still do so via the old-school way/website. What do I gotta say? Go with this if you have 100 and above connection and would like to accommodate that speed both wired and wireless while using both 2.4 and 5hz protocols...not to mention the topnotch security that has always accompanied NetGear devices. Thank you for reading this.

This router is perfect for my one bedroom apartment. I get signal in every corner of my apartment and my signal stays consistently strong throughout. Quick, strong connection that provides for problem free internet use and gaming.

I updated to this router thinking it probably wouldn't make a noticable difference. I was really amazed!! Screen shot shows the difference from 20-40 Mbps to 88-99 Mbps. Plus it runs 2.4 GHz,5Ghz, and AC. A wide range of frequencies should cover all devices for a few years. It stays cool, very well vented.

Intimidating at first but then extremely simple. I wanted to improve my Comcast modem router. Read a lot online watched a lot of YouTube’s was very nervous to do so. Went into my local Best Buy and spoke to the salesman. I didn’t go to geek squad. The salesman however was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He talked me through the process and all the steps I should use and gave me the websites needed. I went home and became a techno magician! All along I thought it was my Comcast signal cutting me short. Turns out it was my router! I highly recommend this router.

My Netgear Genie network map shows a red line between the Internet and my new Netgear Router. When the connection shows white I can use everything connected to the Netgear router but not my desktop computer. I can’t seem to get them both connected at the same time.

I am using this to stream Netflix and internet to a bedroom set. The only issue is some videos lag behind the sound. I don't think it is a product issue but a set-up issue. I plan on having someone with more knowledge look into this.

Works well for small set of devices (laptops, mobile phones, tabs, TV, streaming devices). Is effective for single level 1000 sqft space

We got the Netgear AC1200 Router to replace the one we had to give back to the internet provider we were leaving. This one did make our wifi a bit faster. Internet is now much more consistently reliable throughout our home. It is able to provide faster internet to many devices all at once (5 phones, 5 laptops, and a tablet) in a two story home without the use of a wifi extender. In fact, we needed a wifi extender with our last internet service provider with the router they provided, so that wifi worked in the bedroom and family room in our basement. The technician who was installing the new internet service was having trouble with the strength of service in the basement and asked if we had an extender. We did, so he unplugged it. The the new service with this router is strong and never interrupted/cut off and we no longer need the extender.

This dual-band high-speed router has excellent reliability and performance. I have had up to eight (8) devices attached simultaneously, with two (2) of them wired with no degradation of signal strength. It is very easy to set up and easy to check and manage activity.

Needed a stronger signal and replaced my older netgear router. Set-up is easy and now the signal and speed is so much better through the whole house with no lag

The NETGEAR router was extremely easy to install, even for a technology dummy like myself. There are two cords that come with it; one goes into the wall for power and the other goes into the modem and boom you're done. I've been running four devices in my home with no connectivity problems since I started using the NETGEAR router. My internet is fast and reliable. NETGEAR even comes with a fun yet simple and easy to remember password, not a long string of numbers, so you won't even have to bother to change it! Although you can if you want to. I highly recommend the NETGEAR router.

The device is bigger than I expected, and seems very light for its size. It gives off the first impression of being cheap, but hopefully it is designed this way and will stay cool. The USB port is only 2.0, and the antennas are non-removable. But for this price it seems appropriate. I upgraded from an old Netgear N router. I pay for 60 Mbps down and get 65 Mbps in the same room as the router. Previously I got around 40 Mbps. The range is not great. In my relatively small home, the signal will get very low on the second story for both the 5 Ghz and 2.4 Ghz networks. However the speed stays relatively high (50 Mbps). It does drop occasionally in the opposite corner of the house. The setup was painless, and Netgear's "Genie" software is decent enough. I don't use the advanced features such as ReadyShare, but I appreciate the ability to reboot the router from their app. It has been stable in my home with about 10 devices and hasn't needed resetting. Overall a good introduction to 802.11 AC, but stay away if you have a larger home.

Strong network connection with a Computer in the garage and one in the front of the house the router that we use is centrally located so all networks are strong it's great to walk in and have good Wi-Fi and a good connection I really like this router it's easy to hook up easy to connect and our household enjoys it so I would recommend this router it's a strong connected device and it is priced reasonably

I purchased this since my old Netgear router decided to quit working. I knew I should get a dual but thought to get this one instead of the same one I got before. The old one had 300/600 and this one is 1200 which makes a big difference. I can use my devices in the furthest reaches of my home and I still get a strong signal. I would recommend this to my friends.

My old router got fried in a power outage. While nothing fancy, it easily has the range and speed I need and was simple to set up.

I bought this router on Black Friday for $60, so I got a great deal on it. For the money, I cannot complain about the router. In fact, I have not had any major issues with the router and almost never have to reset it due to connectivity or speed issues. It has plenty of great features, including some more advanced ones. It is no Nighthawk or Asus top end router, but its certainly a great AC router for the money.
