Price rating: 7/10 Personally, I would consider this bad boy on the high end of usb adapters. The price at the time of my purchase was 80 dollars and was the most expensive one available in store. I saw Asus makes one that is smaller for around 60 dollars, however, the difference in potential speed was worth the extra 20 dollars for me. I've never had a cool usb adapter and this one comes with a cool stand/dock so it looks cool in your setup.+1 cool points if you also have a Netgear Night hawk router and modem. Looks: 10/10 This thing looks like a mini router on your setup. It even flips up for better signal. All the other ones I've seen look like a usb thumb drive or an antenna Installation rating: 10/10 Your grandmother could probably set this up. It comes with a usb drive that has the installation software on it. Just run the installation for the adapter, then plug it in and its ready to go.

I only have windows 10, so I can only connect at Wifi 6 speeds on the 5 GHz network. You’ll need windows 11 and an expensive (as of 2024) router to take advantage of 6E speeds on a 6 GHz network. I don’t require those speeds, just a fast reliable connection, which this device absolutely provides, looks slick too. The important thing is that this device immediately connects upon startup (after the device driver is installed initially and the network passkey is entered/remembered for your machine). The installation even integrates disabling your existing adapter to ensure there’s no confusion, how thoughtful of netgear. Very smart. More importantly, after the computer comes out of “sleep”, this adapter again connects immediately with no trouble at all. The competition has a real problem here because other adapters will reset 5 or 10 times when the computer comes out of sleep. It’s very annoying, but this one from netgear has no such problem whatsoever, which is exactly why I didn’t mind the higher cost (I expected higher quality and that’s exactly what I got). Absolutely smooth connections after a restart, power off/on, and absolutely smooth after waking the computer up from sleep. Couldn’t ask for more in this regard. There has been some confusing details as to the speeds when I check the details within windows 10 after connecting to wifi, but things have stabilized at wifi 6, 1201mbps with windows 10. Actual speeds have been around 600-700 mbps download and about 150-300mbps upload. For a 2gig download and 300meg upload plan, I’m not complaining since it’s a very old machine from 2007 that had wifi 4 (wireless n, I think?). It’s a fantastic upgrade, well worth the expense for reliable operation. Don’t waste your time and money on all those cheap adapters unless you absolutely need a micro sized one for travel, but also don’t expect any level of performance out of a micro sized one. This one is excellent and gets the job done. If you don’t mind the size, buy this and be glad you did. It’s reliable, it works, it’s fast, and that’s what matters most.

I ditched my internet providers equipment and bought a Netgear modem and router. My laptop is newer so I had no issues with it connecting but I could not get my old Windows 10 desktop to connect to my WiFi. After a few days of frustration I finally figured out my wifi adapter was outadted and incompatable with my new Netgear equipment. So I came to Best Buy and bought the Netgear WiFi adapter and it connected in seconds with no issues. Very happy.

My girlfriends PC didnt have wifi available on it, so i decided to buy her this adapter. I expected it to work, but not like this. The setup was super simple. Within 5 mins she had working wifi. I have to say, this thing gives her very fast speeds. We have wifi 6 in our and the ethernet port was too far. This was the best option. She has speeds up to 500-650mbps! Its very reliable and seems to hold uo very well for gaming. I highly recommend this. I believe they make one thats like $10 cheaper too just doesn’t come with the dock.

Honestly great product, I’ve had for at least 2 months now and it works phenomenal. I use it as a WiFi extension since my pc connection doesn’t go that far. The router is on the second floor and I’m in the basement and it was game changer

The Netgear Nighthawk Wifi external adapter is great! The built in Realtek wifi card on my Lenovo all in one PC kept dropping Wifi frequently and this solved the problem!

Great product overall! never had issues with lag and my download speeds were very the best i’ve ever seen before. My 2 younger siblings have these aswell and we never experience congestion from eachother. Although it being a great product it did give out on me after exactly 1 year of having it…just stopped powering on…but im buying another one with protection because its that good.

I have had internet adapters before but this one beats them all, I am using it right now on my 2nd floor of my home, my fiber optic internet box is downstairs and nowhere near my desktop pc, it is very fast, it may flex on which internet service provider you have but I have fiber optic with at&t and right now I have 16 pages open at once on google chrome working on my website and it doesn't ever lag, My alarm technician was installing a new cam on my house a few days ago and he said my internet is the fastest he's ever seen on an alarm system but I don't have any issues so far with my adapter and no lagging and that is a bonus! I love it! It's worth the money!

I brought a Lenovo Yoga 6 which I believe was released in 2022. Being a techie at heart I only want the best for my electronics. I stream and do a lot of file sharing in the cloud. Overall the laptop is 10/10 for me except the WiFi adapter isn't the best from Mediatek even for being Wifi 6 capable. Although I have a Wifi 6 router I still want to be able to get the best performance. In comes the AXE3000 to the rescue. The performance for uploads and downloads is literally like lightspeed. I also notice that the my laptop cpy is using less power due to being uses via USB 3.2. I love it all around and I know when I upgrade to WiFi 6E and eventually 7 I'll come right back to the upgraded model of this device. My only downside is that the drivers come via a separate included USB-C d4ive as opposed to the tried and true plug in and automatically detecting drivers method. It's still a must have

I was skeptcial buying this. I have 1000 gig wireless internet and my computer is located ok the opposite side of my house. My speeds for aweful. Couldnt do anything and was pulling only 30 mbs speeds even tho i paid for 1000 gigs. Yes i know its wireless which reduces speeds when not using COAX. I bought this amd it went from 30 to 400!!!!! I can play anything and do anything now on the opposite side of my house. HIGHLY Recommend.

Have an older PC which is a server. Wanted to connect to my TV but had no connection to internet. This worked perfectly.

I would recommend this over any other wifi adaptor, especially the smaller ones. This will get all the download speed that you pay for. It doesn't drop the signal at all. Price is worth every penny.

Works amazing, I have it on my gaming PC and it honestly works faster than my PCIE WiFi card (I needed this product because my WiFi card was being blocked by my GPU)

The adapter works well with my pc since I am located far from the home router, the adapter boosts up the signal and speed. I would definitely recommend this adapter. Worth the price!

This Wi-Fi adapter maintains a strong signal through walls and over the distance from the router.

This just solved my problems of not having to run wires through my newly insulated attic. It works perfectly and has excellent connectivity. Latency is not an issue at all for gamers out there.

I purchased the NETGEAR - Nighthawk AXE3000 Tri-Band Wi-Fi 6E USB 3.0 Adapter on May 13, 2024 and have been very happy with the results. Upload and download speeds have significantly improved. Also, installation was simple on my desktop computer..

This thing is legit! I bought this because I wanted to replace my cat5 that my dog bit in half and I'm amazed at how well this is. It downloads at 390Mbps and uploads around 10Mbps. Since I'm a best buy member and this was on sale I got a good price for it. I haven't played online games in a while but if I did this would be the wifi to get! Highly Recommend

It works fine, it does the job. I’m able to use it on my desktop.
