A: It is only one SSID with both 2.4 and 5ghz and it seamlessly switches between the two depending on how far or close you are from a satellite. The satellites connect to each other and slightly degrades the signal. I notice that satellites closer to the router are more often on 5ghz, opposed to the satellite I have in the basement that shows a 2.4ghz connection.
A: All depends upon your Internet Service provider and what speed you have purchased. I have Spectrum 220 MB/s and I get 220 MB/s
Q: can they be used in a chain for max distance
A: Yes, I'm currently chaining them together.

Q: There is no password on the bottom of the router. Tech support was no help.

A: It should work with that modem, but I don’t know if it’ll fix your issues. I would contact your service provider about the slow speeds and disconnects.

Simply Outstanding
I have had issues getting wifi coverage to my many Ring cameras and echo devices for some time. Frontier sold me some mesh extenders that really never made a difference. However now that I bought and set up this Netgear Orbi system, I actually have over 100 internet (both upload and download) through my home..inside and out. This system was easy to install and I feel it is simply a outstanding product to get internet working like it should throughout your home.

Best connection I’ve ever had
This is so easy for consumers to use and set up alone. The actual equipment is clean and modern looking, no one even knows it’s for WiFi. I have a 2 story house around 1600 sq ft and I have WiFi in every inch, including the porch, down the drive way and all over the back yard. There are no drops when multiple devices are being used and it allows you to have a separate guest WiFi entirely which is nice for Air BnB users. It lets you know everytime someone new joins your network and it also alerts you if there’s any viruses trying to hit it. It’s the best router I’ve ever had and it really helps the connection.
