Elvis Presley re-established himself as The King of Rock and Roll with Elvis, the widely-seen Inchcomeback specialInch broadcast on NBC at the end of 1968. The show's many highlights included laid-back live performances recorded in the round before a small audience and featuring a powerful ensemble - including guitarist Scotty Moore and drummer D.J. Fontana, both part of Elvis' original, classic backing band. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Elvis, both electrifying, intimate Inchsit-downInch sets are released widely on vinyl for the first time. Elvis aired on NBC on December 3, 1968. It marked Presley's return to live performance after seven years during which his career was centered in the movie business. The show consisted of a sit-down section, stand-up numbers and two musicals. The sit-down session showcased Presley in an informal setting, surrounded by fans and small band. Trixies by Squeeze (Transparent Pink) Trixies, the new studio album by Squeeze, could have been their very first record. Written by Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook when they were just 19 and 16 respectively, Trixies is a concept album born of imagination and nostalgia. Inspired by a fictional members' club dreamt up in the early '70s and imagined as existing in the InchfutureInch (the '80s), the album channels a world reminiscent of a '20s or '30s speakeasy - glamourous, smoky, and populated by colorful characters. Although the album was demo-ed at the time it was never released, and only revisited decades later. Now, the record is fully realized with today's musicianship and production, combining teenage brilliance with seasoned artistry; it's lyrical themes and narrative sweep offering fertile ground for storytelling and immersive campaign touchpoints.
