put it in a bar area that doesn't have an ice maker in the refrigerator. This is perfect for having ice available all the time. also perfect size for a dorm or apt. Just fill with water and ice is available almost instantly. Auto shut off when ice bin is full.

We like this ice maker and it meets our needs because we don't need large quantities of ice. It takes a bit of time to make the ice so you need to plan ahead. It takes an hour to fill the little ice cube holder inside the unit. That's enough to fill about a 32 oz glass for an example of the volume. I am okay with that, we just let it keep going and stick a ziplock of cubes in the freezer. The ice cubes are hollow as they drop off the freezing rods- I've never used hollow cubes before! But the medium size is plenty big and they do not melt right away. There are three sizes, just haven't used them all yet so can't comment. Small probably freezes much fast than medium. I expect large would take way too long for me to wait. The ice does not melt too quickly- so happy with that. It's bigger than I thought it would be, but worth finding a place for it! I am really happy we purchased it!

I have had several portable ice makers. This model is pretty quiet compared to the others. It makes ice quickly and the ice tastes great. I bought this make because of the good reviews. Its a little more expensive so I am hoping it hold up longer than the others I have had.

The ice maker for the price could not be better for the bar/outside kitchen and inside kitchen. Very easy to check to see if enough water to make cubes w/ 3 sizes.,cleaning easy.The,melting ice returning to the container to re- make it,s self.

This machine makes ice fast and is easy to use. The 3 different ice sizes is also a nice feature.

I had a fridge with an icemaker and loved it. I moved to an apartment with a furnished fridge, no icemaker. So I bought this because the reviews on it were so good. I love it too. I get a little low on ice and I just turn it on and have ice very quickly. It takes up a little space, but I have plenty where I am. Fast and efficient.

I purchased this ice maker for our office which is about 30 people. It consistently makes ice on it's own, and is always full. Occasionally you have to move the ice around and make room for the new ice. If you don't do this, it stops making ice, but that's only because it senses that it's full. Overall this is a machine used by a lot of people, and withstands the use with no problems what so ever.

For our camper, as a supplement to the ice maker in the fridge, or for extra ice for company this is a great ice maker. We have two of them. One we keep at home and one for the camper. Remember, it makes ice. It doesn't keep ice. Just empty the bin every so often into a bowl to hold in your freezer until needed.

Bought this because we don't have an icemaker in the fridge and we use ice cube trays. Ice cube trays take up room that I can use to store other foods so we purchased this stand alone icemaker. Good: Ice produced fast. Compact machine can be used for tailgating out of a van. Bad: Does not keep ice frozen so transferring to freezer the ice tends to stick together after 30 minutes.

It's a little bigger than I expected but it still fits nicely on the counter. It's easy to use and pumps out a batch of large ice every 10-15 minutes. No regrets here.

I'm very happy with this purchase, the icemaker makes ice quickly and a lot of it. Only drawback is it's a bit noisier than expected, but the noise is manageable.

This unit take up quite a bit of counter top space, but it works very well - cranks out the ice. We are using it at our travel trailer which is parked at the lake, so we turn it on when we get there and in a few minutes we have our first batch of ice. Beats going to town and buying ice then dealing with the ice chest.

Makes great ice cubes quickly. Love the option between 3 different suzes. I usually choose medium and that is perfect for me!

We are renting and the house had an old fridge. The ice maker was less than ideal. So I bought this and could not be happier. There are 4 of us and we use a lot of ice. This keeps up with us. Also I like that I can use filtered water for the ice. You just pour it in the bottom and in a few minutes ice is ready. We simply transfer it to the fridge and once we have filled up the fridge bin we turn it off until we start to get low.

I have had a portable icemaker for over a year and I'm very happy with it. It creates enough ice for my household of two plus guests. My highest praise for this item is that I would replace it if it stopped working. But, I did purchase the Protection Plan, so I'm safe. It's a little noisy that's why I gave it a four.

It does not keep ice but makes a steady flow of ice. If you are buying for this reason you must take ice out and fill a bowl and keep in freezer. I dont think its a big deal. I love this item. Maybe should have bought a warranty due to the comments of them breaking.

I make extra ice and put in my freezer for backup to my refrigerator icemaker. Ice straight from the Newair is wet ice, so freezing helps firm it up. In one day I can make at least 10 lbs of ice. Newair comes in handy when hosting guests. The Newair is quiet.

Makes ice very quickly and is very portable. Very easy to take wherever you need it
