Was debating about getting this or the actual dock from Nintendo and ended up with the next dock. My decision was based on the size and portability which I wanted to use for traveling and taking it on the go. So far the dock works great and connecting is easy. Recommend if you are looking for a dock on the go. The only thing that I would note is that if you have the kill switch case you have to keep removing to connect.

If you have a 2nd TV around your house that you would like to play your Switch 2 on, or if you have both a Switch 1 AND a Switch 2 in your home, then this dock is a nearly perfect alternative to Nintendo's own docking solutions. This dock functions as advertised, connecting both the Switch 1 & Switch 2 to a TV, and it can serve as a charging stand for tabletop play if you don't connect it to a TV, all for a lot less money than an official Nintendo Switch 2 Dock. It's important to note, however, that this dock DOESN'T SUPPORT 4K HDR (this is listed in the owner's manual, but is not stated explicitly on the packaging) so if that's a deal breaker for you, then I'd avoid the NEXT 4K Dock Kit. One other thing you should know about this dock (which is ultimately why I had to return it), is that it may not be fully compatible with older PC Capture Cards, such as the Elgato HD60 S+. I REALLY wanted to use this dock with my PC setup, but for whatever reason, OBS was not able to capture audio in any way whatsoever when this dock was connected to my HD60 S+. It could capture video just fine when properly set-up but not audio, and to add insult to injury, game audio was actually being sent and could be heard via passthrough but not via OBS audio capture. So if you are planning on streaming or recording via PC, I'd look for alternatives. TL:DR - The Next 4K Dock Kit works strictly as advertised. It offers more functionality than any official Nintendo dock for less money. If you want to connect a Switch or Switch 2 to a bedroom TV or computer monitor, and don't need/want 4K HDR, this dock will work perfectly. If you're looking to stream to friends or record via PC, this dock may not be for you.

I really like but it can go for the Nintendo switch and the switch 2. I enjoyed playing with it on my TV with my switch 2

I think this is a cool extra dock for the Switch or Switch 2. It works just as easily as the Nintendo dock, with an added feature of being a stand for when you want to play in handheld mode. I put it in my office as a spare for when I'm not at my main TV. It's a little difficult to remove the Switch from this dock, but it works exactly as expected.

This dock causes lag whenever a notification pops up while playing. You cannot update the firmware for the dock directly from the Switch 2 settings menu like you do for the OEM dock. I have made sure my dock is up to date with the latest firmware from NEXT website, but the issue persist. It can also be finicky to get the Switch 2 to drop onto this dock properly. As a secondary dock that I picked up for $60, im ok with it, but I would caution others to be aware of these short comings.

Once the switch is on the stand. Dont move it or shift anything. Doesnt hold switch to the best ability. Does the trick tho.

This is a perfect quick solution for what I needed for my switch! Now I dont have to keep moving my dock back and forth.

This was super helpful and makes it easy to bring our Switch to the lake and immediately have it set up to work on the TV!

Very happy to have a dock that supports both switch 1 and 2. Helps keep our TV area cleaner. Very slick look, and enjoy that it prevents scratches. My only issue is that its a little light.

I bought this product, as I travel a ton and the Nintendo dock is quite large to pack when only taking carry on bags. It hooks up via HDMI and also works as a stand when I'm not wanting to hook it up.

Whenever a notification pops up like a screenshot, gamechat or someone’s online status, the switch 2 would just lag as long as the notification pops up for. I tried updating it on its latest firmware, trying the charger it comes with and the original switch 2 one and i exchanged it for another one and had the same issues so I returned it in the end. If you’re trying to use this as a switch 1 dock it works perfectly fine but was really wanting this as a 2nd dock that I can bring around with me.

The dock worked great for the first week but then started to have display issues. It would seem like the frame rate was dropping and the switch would sometimes disconnect from the display.

WHEN this dock decides it wants to work (which is not very often), it's great. However, more times than not, youre going to find that the dock doesn't support the Switch itself, so it's not quite seated in there properly. Without it making a good connection to the c-port, it's useless. First we thought the one we got was defective, because the indicator lights were not lighting up. Then, I figured out that it was just not making a good stable connection with the port. Once I got that straightened out and ever so gingerly placed the Switch ubit into the dock - it made a good connection amd I got about 20 minutes of good gameplay before my dog walked by it and it disconnected. She didn't even touch it, just walked past it. We returned it right away. The one directly from Nintendo is pricey, but maybe worth the pricetag :(

Perfect size for my set up. Also works best for travel as the original doc is larger.
