Works well with my other NightOwl cameras. No issues on the install and setup on the app. Works on my Spectrum 5G. The video quality is adequate and picks up and records any activity. I wish it had night vision but my porch light does have a motion sensor so it will pick up faces at the door at night. The app has a setting to turn on your home doorbell if it’s hard wired in.

The Night Owl wired Doorbell/Camera is very easy to install. It is wired to existing doorbell wiring. It is also very easy to set up to ring your existing analog or digital doorbell. The setup is a breeze. The picture and notification process works very well. I added this to my new WNVR system with no problems. This is my second Night Owl system and I have been very pleased with both. Highly recommended.

Since I have Nightowl Security Cameras and DVR, i upgraded my Ring to Nightowl Doorbell and honestly and i’m not disappointed. The doorbell camera quality is not as good as the security cameras themselves, but again it’s doing the deed. Now here’s a little tip for people like me without a preexisting (wired) doorbell. Order a 16.5 volt doorbell transformer from Amazon and some bell wires; create a hole for the wires and there you go. You now have a working wired doorbell. you’re welcome ;) finding shortcuts for a handywoman. Now to answer my question, Yes! A wired doorbell camera is so worth it versus having to change out the batteries every two days or not at all because i stopped caring.

Very easy to install, connected promptly to the base station. Picture quality is very good.

Love that there is no subscription and instead saves shots to memory card. Works great with existing doorbell wiring. Instructions how to mount could have been a touch better. -1 star for that. Overall great purchase

I was looking for a wired doorbell, which I did not need to buy a plan for to save videos. The night owl allowed me to buy an SD card to hold all my videos. I can watch and also download. Connected to my doorbell ringer inside. Can also speak through it to deter theft. We were having trouble with deliveries and breaking into cars in my area. This basically has solve the problem at least for me and my family.

Have many Night Owl Products Covering multiple properties. These door bell camera are better than others I have seen they really work and have been flawless for months now. Video is super high quality. I replace an Eufey and the images are at least 3X more detailed and clear.

Generally unhappy. The basic camera function worked reasonably well, but I bought it, in part because I thought it would work with my existing regular doorbell. It doesn't. Also, the digital chime power amp, referenced in their product support videos and installation manual, doesn't exist. The other issue I had was that I purchased this with an NVR recorder. When I configured the doorbell as a standalone unit (no recording) the timestamp was correct, but when I paired it to the recorder, the AM/PM indication in the timestamp would be wrong and the date and day was intermittently a day ahead or a day behind. I spent quite a bit of time trying to troubleshoot issues with the overall system and ran out the clock on the return window. I tried to return this a day late with the rest of the system. Best Buy accepted the rest of the system but left me with an orphan doorbell.

Good quality camera, wiring is pretty simple if you have low voltage just swap out the door bell you currently have. Not in my case, my wiring wasnt working made it more difficult, would be nice if they had an option to add a battery but for the price you cant beat it.

The first night owl doorbell I had was amazing this one was horrible. This upgrade made me upgrade to the ring doorbell. The fact that it tells ppl when your live viewing the camera is insane and puts ppl at risk from people that are aware that it only lights up when your viewing. The ring doorbell stays one color all day and night and does not do anything exciting when you’re viewing your camera live. Also night owl doorbell has too many glitches and it crashes more than the older models. I’m a huge night owl supporter I have the camera DVR system and we just upgraded to the wired audio and video and it also crashes more then the older models not sure what’s going on night owl but hopefully you fix whatever the issue is your losing your valued customers.

Clear view needs a few improvements. Some delays when using voice mode took a minute to connect but finally got it to work properly.

i really enjoy nightowl camera systems, so the doorbell was a no brainer. it wires directly to your existing doorbell wiring so it gets constant power and never needs batteries. setup was quick and easy as all nightowl products. prolly got it all going in less than 15 minutes. A+

It works good and has a great picture. You just need to make sure you have power to where you are going to put it.

Great security feature. We added this since we have the furthest room from the front door. Great visibility of happenings at the door.

No longer have to open my door for strangers. Can talk and hear clearly camera works great as well

I purchased this Night Owl to upgrade from the Night Owl connect. This Night Owl 1080 does not come with sim card, It makes interference static in transformer. It does not link properly to set up and customer service rep wasn't any help because he couldn't understand or articulate what to do pf questions asked. I will be returning today.

Returned it. would not connect to my hidden wifi network
