The installation was not so simple. I was replacing a standard exterior floodlight on my garage. The WIFI on 2ghz was low there was WIFI and the system would recognize the camera . Once the Night Owl Protect app recognize the camera It took me to the next step where it took you to your live view the app says if you don't see all your cameras don't push next. The floodlight would not show up in the live view. I tried several times and tried everything deleting the camera from the app, locating the reset button Resetting the camera, Rebooting NVR, Rebooting router, temporarily disable my 5 GHz. All my firmware on the app was up to date. So I called product support the people were nice but all she would tell me is to Shorten distance move camera within 3–6 ft of router for initial setup (then relocate). I told her how am I supposed to move it closer to the router when it has to be hard wired to a preexisting floodlight. Since the camera is hardwired to the floodlight, moving it isn't practical. Product support was no HELP at all. I knew I had to figure this out on my own. So I am writing this review to help someone else out if you run into this problem when the WIFI on 2ghz is to low and the camera is to far from the router. This is what my husband did to fix it. He took down the floodlight brought it in the house he cut the end of a extension cord wired the floodlight to the extension cord plugged into a outlet right next to my router. I went into the app to add the floodlight the installation was quick and easy it recognize the camera right away and had the live view. Then we relocated it back to my garage. It has been working fine ever since. Night owl floodlight should come with a USB power cord like the doorbell does a USB power cord that you can use for temporary power during setup! I hope this helps someone having this sane issue.

Awesome camera easy to set up. Does need a power wire. So if you dont have one already you might need to befriend an electrician. But nonetheless it was easy to run and install. Put it on a 4inch round box.

Was in need of a floodlight for my driveway and found this at a steal, so glad. The light did exactly what i wanted and with the added camera feature it helps with security also. 1 excellent feature is the sd card storage feature, no need to pay for cloud storage or buy a special hd for storage.

Works great. Just wish the brightness of the light could be controlled.

Easy to install.online set up easy, if you know technology. Great response to motion and the light is VERY bright. Just what I wanted.

So far, the rest of the Night Owl system is working well but this one is an add on to the 8 camera set we bought as a bundle and it has been very difficult to connect to our network. I still don't have it connected but I'm sure it will work as nicely as all of the others once it is connected.

Good camera, bright lights, feels really durable, especially the housing for the lights. It's pretty simple to wire up if you have existing wiring in place.

This combination of night vision camera with flood lighting is an excellent choice.

Great for driveway visibility. Floodlight with camera so I can check in from wherever I am.

I gave this 3/5 stars because I never got to experience its performance. Sadly in the location where I was replacing a standard exterior flood lamp the wifi on 2 ghz was low. There was wifi and the system would say it was setup and ready but needed to update firmware. After several calls with product support (the people were nice but multiple times the call was dropped and they would call me back) the last agent explained my wifi speeds at that location would not work with this device. I returned it at my local store without issue.

Nice outdoor camera with floodlights. This has to be wired in, just removed you old outdoor light and put this one in its place. It is easy to setup and use. Has 2 way communications so you can talk to whoever crosses in its path. It is built very well and should hold up to the outdoor elements in the winter and summer.

I purchased this to put over my garage. It provides light for kids playing at night as well as provides security for my garage. Great add-on!

Set this up and now feel much safer at night. Works great, light perfect brightness. Love this product.

Don’t buy it not worth anything web sight don’t work for it

the spotlight on this is plenty bright. i used to have a battery powered one from another brand but having the wired power cable for this one really beats it. the video is crisp and the two way is substantial. setup was a breeze in the app.

Talk about a great product!!!! This product does such a good job of helping me, spy on everyone in my family. I could see any use it to look into my Neighbor’s house. I could give higher than five stars I would.
