Guillermo del Toro's remake of Nightmare Alley is a fresh take on a classic film. Nice video presentation in native 4K and HDR10 with a Dolby Atmos soundtrack. Comes with 4k disc, blu-ray disc and digital code. A top 2021 film!

This was a decent remake. If you're interested in the OG, grab the Criterion release.

Nominated for four academy Awards Bradley Cooper and Cate Blanchett star in this film set in the depression era. The 4K ultra high definition is visually stunning and a real pleasure to watch. Everything about this movie, acting, directing, cinematography, as well as the written script is very well done and much superior to the 1947 version of this film. The story is engrossing, well paced, and neatly plotted to the somewhat surprising but inevitable conclusion. I would highly recommend this movie especially so in this 4K version.

I'm a huge fan of Guillermo Del Toro's work and may have had my hopes a tad high on this one, 'cause it felt a bit lacking for some reason. The visuals were what I had hoped for and expected, but I think I was thinking it would be more of a horror flick from the title. I think I thought it was supposed to be supernatural in some way, too. But, it's actually just a straight forward picture about con artists. Which isn't bad if you're in the mood for that... just not what I was expecting to see going in. I'm sure I'll appreciate it more with multiple viewings. Still, another worthy addition to the Del Toro library.

Loved this movie. I never got a chance to see it in the theaters when it was originally released, but I'd heard such great things about it that I wanted to check it out. I wasn't at all disappointed. I also really enjoyed the 4K presentation.

Excellent film adaptation of an unconventional novel, which also stands up well alongside the classic 1947 original film. Atmospheric and well-acted. The 4K print is stunning in clarity while not compromising the filmic feel.

A great addition to his masterpieces of film from the man himself, Guillermo del Toro. A great story and very well written. The acting was awesome. Something a little different from his usual style but wondrous to view.

I enjoyed it, if for anything, for the director's cred. Some mention the film is long yet it's fitting for the story and doesn't bother me as long as it flows to a point. The setting is a treat for those into period pieces. The acting is on par with the story with several top notch actors and editing is first rate.

One of my favorite films of 2021, the story that Del Toro weaves is intricate, the production design is to die for. It maybe a little long but the payoff is worth it.

This Guillermo del Toro movie masterfully shows that real monsters are not necessarily fictional characters. A semi-noir film with lots of beauty
