I use the Coolshot all the time while playing. Most courses in the area do not have very good markers so the range finder helps a lot. It fits very well in your hand ant the accuracy is spot on.

It is accurate and works well. Does not have the slope feature, but that's not a big deal for the courses I play and my level of play. Read the instructions so you know how to use it properly.

Lightweight, easy to use, accurate distance. Sometimes takes a while to focus in on target but overall serves the purpose.

I was looking at getting a rangefinder for some time, but I didn't want to drop the money on some of the others out there. This is definitely a good entry level rangefinder. It does not have the slope function, but it isn't a big deal for my game. The compact size is also great. I have not had any accuracy issues once I'm locked on like others have mentioned in reviews. I tested next to a friend using a watch GPS, and we were consistently within +/- 3 yards of one another the entire round. The problem comes into play locking on to the target. Windy days make it tough. It will take me 2-3 attempts to truly get the correct reading, but again once I get locked, it's accurate. My saving grace is that I am pretty aware of my surroundings and knew a reading of 200 yards wasn't right with the 150 marker in front me. I was picking up a tree in the background (thanks wind). Although I am only giving it 3 stars, I would recommend this product to the casual golfer, and it's worth saving yourself some money.

I am a Pinehurst Caddie. This product has consistently given me accurate yardage’s so that I can give “World Class” service to resort guests.

My boyfriend loved this gift! Said it’s perfect! He had been wanting one and always asking friends to tell him, how far to the hole.

The newer Nikon rangefinder include vibration reduction and after using this device for 6 rounds I would recommend to most users. This rangefinder has difficulty locating the pin when more than 200 yards away. Mainly due to being able to remain still while using the laser. I found that on windy days it would be affected more than on a calm day. I am speaking about light vibrations, not being over caffeinated or twitchy. This said I find this device very useful for my scoring clubs. When I am 150 yards and in I really enjoy using this rangefinder to dial in the distance to the pin. This is the only time I use the device and have no issues with vibrations. If you are wanting to pin a flag from greater than 200 yards get the upgraded VR model, if only using for scoring clubs this one is a great value for the money.

I’ve been in the golf industry for years and got this in a pinch when I lost my Bushnell. It gives accurate numbers and is compact. I’d recommend, especially if you are looking for a good price point.

Awesome range finder!! I’m sure more expensive may work better and get longer distance, but this is more than good enough for average person and easy to use

Easy to use, and rarely have to steady it by leaning against something. Only shaky in a strong wind. Works exactly like I wanted it to.

Convenient size range finder. Able to carry in back pocket for fast access. Easy one step to activate and shuts off automatically after each measurement.

This is the first time buying a range finder for golfing. Now that I'm getting more serious about my game, this has helped me get real yardage not only on the course but on the driving range. Now I am able to be more realistic with my distances and club selection. This product is easy to use and hasnt failed me yet. It's hard to keep steady to get a pinpoint at first, but you get used to it real quick.

The Nikon - COOLSHOT 6 x 20 Golf Rangefinder is everything i could of asked for. It has the continuous reader for the individuals that don't have steady hands, like me. As a golfer I can say that i am not disappointed one bit with this purchase. It's an investment in your golf game. Do it.

Nothing crazy about it. Has one purpose and accomplishes that without flaw.
