  • General
    • Brand: Nikon
    • Model Number: 1576
    • Product Name: D5600 DSLR Camera with AF-P DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR Lens
    • Color: Black
    • Product Set: w/ 18-55mm Lens
    • Camera Model Family: Nikon D5600
    • Digital Camera Type: DSLR Camera with Lens
  • Imaging
    • Image Sensor Type: CMOS (CCD and CMOS are the two main technologies used in image sensors. CCD, the older of the two types, turns analog light signals into digital pixels. This conversion happens without distortion, resulting in high-quality images. Newer CMOS sensors use transistors at each pixel to move electrical charges. CMOS sensors are typically less expensive, but also require more light to create distortion-free images.)
    • Image Sensor Size: APS-C (23.6 x 15.7 mm)
    • Image Resolution (Display): 6000 x 4000 (Refers to the number of pixels, both horizontally and vertically, used to either capture an image or display it. The higher the resolution the finer the image details.)
    • Zoom Capability: true (This function allows for magnification of the subject.)
    • Digital Zoom: None (A digital zoom is accomplished electronically, with no adjustment of the camera's optics, and no optical resolution gained in the process. The existing data is not enhanced or added to, merely displayed at a lower resolution, thereby giving an illusion of an enlarged image.)
    • Low Light/High Sensitivity: true (High sensitivity digital imaging devices are designed to work in low light conditions to produce a high dynamic range image.)
    • Image File Format(s): JPEG, RAW (Standardized software format(s) of storing digital images. The type of format chosen for capturing and compressing the image can determine quality, level of detail, and storage space required.)
  • Focus
    • Autofocus: true (Allows the camera to automatically focus through the lens, rather than by adjusting the lens manually.)
    • Eye Autofocus (Eye AF): true (Automatically seeks out and focuses on the subject's eye and holds it as the camera and subject move and as the photographer shoots at high frame rates.)
  • Exposure Control
    • Shutter Speeds: 1/4000 to 30 sec. (The length of time the shutter remains open when the shutter release is activated, expressed in fractions of seconds. The longer the shutter is open, the more light that is able to be captured by the camera sensor.)
    • Minimum Aperture: f/5.6 (The smallest opening of a lens, typically expressed in f-numbers. The larger the number, the smaller the aperture and the less light that can enter the lens. A smaller aperture creates a larger depth of field, which keeps both foreground and background in focus.)
    • Maximum Aperture: f/3.5 (The limit to how wide a lens can be open, typically expressed in f-numbers. The smaller the number, the larger the aperture and the more light that can enter the lens. A larger aperture creates a shallower depth of field, helpful for keeping subjects in focus and blurring background details.)
    • Minimum ISO: 100 (ISO is the measurement of a camera image sensor's light sensitivity. When there is plenty of light, using the lowest ISO setting available will typically result in a higher quality image.)
    • Maximum ISO: 25600 (ISO is the measurement of a camera image sensor's light sensitivity. In low-light environments, using a higher ISO setting helps to capture a sharp, bright image.)
    • Brightness Control: true (Allows the camera to adjust the brightness of a captured image for optimal exposure.)
    • Burst Mode: true (Also referred to as continuous shooting. This feature captures multiple shots in rapid succession.)
    • Self Timer: true
    • Self-Timer Delay: 20 seconds
    • Shooting Modes: Standart, Neutral, Vivid, Monochrome, Portrait, Landscape, Flat (Exposure modes employed by the photographer to control the optimal aperture, shutter speed, ISO, and other settings for capturing specific subjects/scenes. Examples include Aperture-Priority, Macro, and Manual modes.)
    • Panorama Mode: false
    • Scene Modes: Portrait; Landscape; Child; Sports; Close-up; Night Portrait; Night Landscape; Party/Indoor; Beach/Snow; Sunset; Dusk/Dawn; Pet Portrait; Camdelight; Blossom; Autumn Colors; Food; Special effects (Exposure modes with predetermined optimal settings for capturing specific scenes. Examples include Landcape, Portrait, and Sports modes.)
    • White Balance Modes: Auto; Incandescent, Fluorescent (7 types); Direct Sunlight; Flash; Cloudy; Shade; Preset Manual (Settings that calibrates how the color white is rendered in an image/video, reducing the appearance of unnatural contrasts caused by various light sources.)
    • Effective Pixels: 24.2 megapixels (The actual number of pixels which make up the viewable image.)
  • Lens
    • Lens Mount Compatibility: Nikon DX
    • Lens Type: Standard Zoom, Wide Angle zoom
    • Minimum Focal Length: 18 millimeters (The minimum distance between the lens and the image sensor that allows the subject to be in focus. The shorter the focal length, the greater the area of scene captured.)
    • Maximum Focal Length: 55 millimeters (The maximum distance between the lens and the image sensor that allows the subject to be in focus. The greater the focal length, the smaller the area of scene captured.)
    • In-Lens Image Stabilization: true (This feature helps reduce image blurring from camera motion. Lens stabilization means an element within the lens moves automatically to counteract detected motion.)
    • Lens Series: Nikon AF-P (The product group that the lens belongs to, based on similar shared features.)
    • Lens Model Number: 20059

    • Screen Resolution: 1,036,800 dots (Screens come in a range of resolutions (measured in pixels, horizontal x vertical). The higher the resolution, the greater the picture quality.)
    • Viewfinder Type: Optical (A viewfinder is the part of a camera (or attachment) that allows you to see and focus a scene in frame. Optical viewfinders let you view the scene directly through the lens. Electronic viewfinders display the image on a screen in its approximate final form.)
    • Viewfinder Magnification: 0.82 times (The measurement of the apparent size of the image in the viewfinder compared to how it would be seen with the naked eye.)
    • Touch Screen: true (Touch-screen devices make navigating more intuitive. Using a touch-screen display, you can do things such as tap to select, hold and drag to move items, swipe to scroll, and pinch to zoom.)

Product Manuals

Q: Will the d5600 accept a filter? What mm?

A: The Nikon AF-P DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR lens that is provided in the Nikon D5600 kit listed here, is compatible with a size 55mm filter.

Q: So the only difference between the D3500 and D5600 is wi-fi and one f-stop? and of course $200

A: The F-stop has nothing to do with the camera. It is a function of the lens that is used on the camera. The same lens will have the same range of F-stops no matter what camera model is used. The D3500 is an entry level camera and is a very good one. The D5600 has more features such as the touch screen and the vari-angle monitor. It has more focus points and better movie features than the D3500. The D5600 has WI-fi and SnapBridge to transfer images to a cell phone. The D3500 has SnapBridge as well. It depends on the feature that you want at what price. Both are very good cameras and take excellent photos.

Q: What flash attachment should i purchase

A: The Nikon D5600 DSLR camera is compatible with the Nikon SB-5000 AF Speedlight, SB-700 AF Speedlight and SB-500 AF Speedlight, however, features for each of these may differ. This camera model also has a built-in flash to provide extra light when it's needed. To learn more please contact Nikon Support.

Q: Is there lens interchangeability for my Nikon 4004 Film Camera body?

A: Older Nikon film cameras like the N4004 film camera, are compatible with legacy lenses (lenses that were used for film cameras) and AI lenses. The lenses that are listed in the Nikon D5600 kit here are AF-P type lenses and are not able to be used with film cameras, as VR and focus mode use the menu to work. E-type lenses are also not compatible with Nikon film cameras or older DSLR camera bodies. The Nikon D5600 DSLR is fully compatible with A-S, AF-P and E-type lenses. AI and AF will be able to be used as well but will need to be manually focused.

Q: It comes with 2 lenses?

A: This D5600 One-Lens Kit - Nikon model #1576 - comes with a single lens, the AF-P DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR Lens. The Nikon D5600 Two-lens kit is Nikon model #1580 and includes both the AF-P DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR Lens and the AF-P DX NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED Lens.

Q: Does it come with a US warranty, or an international one?

A: Yes it comes with a USA Warranty! I was very cautious when I went to the Bestbuy store and made myself sure by looking at the outside of the box where you see the description of the item including the serial number. You should see “USA” among the numbers and also the Warranty Card inside the box is identified as USA Warranty. You can learn a lot about Nikon and other Brands of Camera Equipment by searching for Ken Rockwell at “kenrockwell.com”. His website is the one I use on anything regarding Nikon and it is where I read about the info on the answer I just gave you! Specially important is to read his suggestions on setting up your Camera for use. He explains all the different settings on the Camera very easy and shows examples of the final photos. Excellent source! Enjoy your day !

Q: Can the camera work with full manual control?

A: Yes , I use full manual a lot
