Customer Ratings & Reviews

I just picked this up and am very pleased with the range and sharpness. It has great detail in my images and the price is very affordable . I’m using this for wildlife. The zoom ring is easy .. 1/4 turn from 180 to 600 mm. As with any longer length zoom lens, it’s a little heavy if you carry it around all day. It has a handy camera strap ring around the tripod collar . That takes the weight off the camera body and helps to support the heavier lens. I think this is a great addition for your camera bag .

I got this lens a bit worried that I'd not get the length required or the sharpness needed compared to the 600mm prime. I was pleasantly surprised to see how well this handles birds and larger animals. It's heavy, but not too cumbersome. Absolutely worth the price tag, and you won't have to break the bank going for the 600mm prime. The flexibility added for going from 180-600 is so helpful as well.

Perfect addition to my stable of lenses. This is just the lens that the Z system needed. Internal zoom is great, weight is nice for a lens of this zoom range. Perfect for wildlife, outdoor sports, and insects. Crisp and sharp images when paired with my Nikon Z6 and Nikon Z8. Wish I would've jumped on this when it was cheaper. The price has gone up since it's release but still worth every penny. Oh, the lens cap is not hard to take off, it has a button on the side.....

Excellent device !!!! If you like wildlife photography. Highly recommended A little bit heavy but it does a phenomenal job !!!

Great lens it captures the rocket launches at Cape Canaveral!

This lens has been a perfect addition to my Nikon Z 7II camera. It does a great job in low light conditions. I find that I do not need to do much post editing after a day of shooting. I love this lens!

Warning: This lens makes your photos look way too professional. I showed one to my wife — now she thinks I’m hiding a second job as a photographer

Amazing lens. Works great for sports, birds l, insects and capturing the moon! Works amazing on my z8.

This lens is great for wildlife. It’s sharp and crisp and is perfect for what I wanted to use it for. You can’t beat the price.

EXCELLENT PURCHASE! The process was easy, painless and the lens is SUPER DUPER!

Very good lens. Feels solid, very nice zoom (especially on my Z50) and great image quality all at a cheap price

This is simply the best value out there in a telephoto lens and from what i’ve read works well with the 1.4 teleconverter.

The Nikon Z 180–600mm f/5.6–6.3 VR has been a fantastic lens for me. I love the reach and sharpness, especially for wildlife and outdoor shooting. The VR works well handheld, and while it’s a bit heavy, the versatility makes it worth carrying.

This lens delivers. The 180-600 focal length range lends to taking quality images in various situations. This lens is heavy, but use of a monopod, tripod or harness tripod can resolve that. I've attained great shots hand-held, as well. I've used this lens with the Nikon 2X converter and am happy with those results, too. I'm very happy with this lens.

The Nikkor Z 180-600mm is an excellent lens for wildlife/Sport/Action Photographers. The autofocus is fast and reliable, even at full zoom. Image quality is sharp and consistent, and the lens is built to handle outdoor conditions with its weather-sealing. It's surprisingly lightweight for its size, making it easy to handle during long shoots. Overall, it’s a fantastic addition to any Nikon Z setup

Minimal twist of the zoom to get from 180 to 600. High quality photos. It's hefty, but no more than expected. Internal zoom is amazing. Lens hood has a nice button to secure/release. Solid construction.

Got thai for birding and its been a great experience. I have a 24-200 and its nice but this lens is very sharp! Not too heavy to hand carry and very easy to handle. I use it on a nikon z6iii full frame and i get good reach wothout a 1.5x teleconvertor. I would recommend this lens to anyone birding.

It's a good lens and pretty sharp at all focal lengths. Yes, a prime lens would be sharper for the versatility of a zoom trumps that in most situations. I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 because I really wish they had gone with a maximum f5.6 aperture design instead of f6.3. Good lens though.

This lens is a must have for wildlife photography. It’s a tad on the large size but with the right camera strap and accessories it’s not too bad. Images are stunning. Highly recommend

While it is a little slower (f-stop wise) than the older 200-500mm, this lens is an improvement in every way. When paired with one of the newer Z series cameras. Use with a Z8 or Z6iii if you can afford them; otherwise it should work great with a Z50ii. I have used it on a Z8, and have been thrilled with the autofocus. I held on to my D800E and D750 kit this long, because I wasn't willing to sacrifice autofocus. Nikon has really done a great job here, so unless you are in the market for $15,000 lenses...you will truly enjoy the experience and results you get with the 280-600mm.
