We were looking for a non serrated set and these are absolutely perfect. Extremely sharp and fit every need in the kitchen with the variety of knives in this set. The sharpener is nice to have as well.

The Ninja Foodi NeverDull Premium 12-Piece Knife Block Set is an impressive cutlery service that will provide many years of reliable service. I have been planning on updating our knife set over the last year and the Ninja Knife service has checked all my boxes. First, the Ninja 12 Piece service looks very “sharp”, especially alongside our other Ninja kitchen products; Ninja Foodi XL Air Oven DT201 and Ninja 8 qt Pressure Cooker. The knife set receives high approval ratings from my wife for the décor and particularly for how well they work. We both appreciate the extraordinarily comfortable and well-balanced feel of the knifes in our hands, a reflection on Ninja’s design research, engineering, and construction. The knifes cut and slice effortlessly, the knifes work so easily in preparing meals that they are a joy to use, no exaggeration. When using the knifes their ease of use I found was enjoyable, fact is right now I am a bit delighted when I need to cut something! One note – The knifes are sharp! Take care in use and cleaning. Few things we have cut/sliced in the past few days: 1. Tuna 1” thick - sliced the tuna steaks in perfect halves 2. Frozen meat 3. Avocado 4. Lemons and limes 5. Vegies of all types The most perfect, smooth and simplest cutting whether it was meats or fine sliced vegetables. Ninja’s site specs that the highest quality of materials is utilized: 1. Two weeks of use, and they’re just as sharp. That’s how I’d describe the Ninja Food “Neverdull” premium knife system. After having owned several Ninja products, I was eager to tryout the knife system, with a claim of knives that are easy to clean, use, and somehow maintain their sharpness. In the box, you’ll find the knife block with smart sharpener, and a box with an 8” Chef Knife, 5” Santuko, 5” Utility, 3.5” Pairing knife, six steak knives, and shears. Included are also a quick start and user care guide. I’d highly recommend reading the quick start guide, as it explains the proper use of the sharpener. The knives all come pre-sharpened, and packaged on two layers in their own box. You will need to do a quick cleaning to remove any cardboard dust, but are otherwise ready to use out of the box. The sharpener even has a sticker to avoid using it until you’ve had used the knives for two weeks. Thus far, we’ve used the knives for prep on several meals, and they continue to maintain sharpness over my previous cheaper set I purchased from a big box store. The only knife I’ve had to sharpen, is the chefs knife, and the sharpener couldn’t be easier to use. You simply slide the lever all the way to the bottom, insert the knife into the appropriate handle cut out, and then maneuver the lever up and down 10 times. After which the knife was just as sharp as the day I unboxed it. Having used other knife sharpening solutions, this was by far the easiest and best result I’ve ever had for a sharpener. Thus far, they’ve handled every task with ease, and the knife block even has suction feet to keep it from moving around on the counter. The shears are super easy to clean after use, with a simple turn releasing both blades. Overall, this is an easy “yes” recommendation.

To cut straight to the point (pun intended), I think that these knives are excellent. Yes, they are a bit on the pricey side for a 12 piece set, no doubt about it, but what you get certainly looks, feels, and performs like a high-quality knife set. Plus, it helps that the entire set is quoted with an over 10-year sharpness guarantee, assuming you take good care of the knives, which is where one of my favorite features of the set comes in, the sharpening station. In the knife block (which is admittedly quite large, so make sure you measure your space before buying this to make sure it will fit nicely), there is a slot where you can fit any knife from the set (except the shears), and use a lever on the side of the block to move a custom sharpening stone (which is designed to help prevent dulling the knife), which sharpens the knife. It’s a really simple process that works great, and removes some of the manual effort that comes with sharpening a knife using something like a sharpening stick. Instead, it is almost mindless to use the sharpening station right in the knife block to sharpen your knives, which is great since Ninja Foodi recommends doing so every 2 weeks for knife maintenance and to help maintain the “NeverDull” nature of the knives. However, removing the sharpening procedure for an instant, even out of the box, these knives are certainly very sharp. They managed to cut through all of the items I threw at them with ease (especially a lot of fruits & vegetables), and never really struggled to make a clean cut. At no point did I ever feel like I needed to start “sawing” at the food to get a knife to cut it. All of the knives also have a nice stainless steel structure with relatively weighty handles, which make for a nice balance in the hand. They aren’t heavy per say, but feel very solid, and offer great leverage if you are like me and cut a lot of vegetables quickly. As a nice touch, all of the knives are also labeled with which type of knife it is on the blade, in case you want to check what kinds of food that particular knife is best suited for. Overall, I like the look of these knives a lot, along with the included block. The overall aesthetics of the set is a two-tone stainless steel & black look which fits very well in modern kitchens. Again, depending on your space, you may find the block to be a bit on the large size (to accommodate the custom sharpening station), but it looks great alongside other stainless steel appliances. As a nice bonus touch, the block also has suction cups on the bottom, so you won’t accidentally move or knock the block over when pulling a knife out or working around the block in your kitchen. The knives themselves offer a good metallic color, and clean very easily. In terms of construction, this set certainly feels & looks more premium than many of the cheaper sets I have used in my time. Additionally, it is nice to see that the shears can be disassembled into two pieces for easier cleaning. Overall, I am very pleased with my time using this set. How much they will appeal to you will depend a lot on your needs & budget, but I can say that if you are looking for a more premium knife set that should last a long time, looks great, and won’t completely break the bank, this set offers a really great balance! i’ve been wanting to upgrade my kitchen knife set, that i’ve had for 4 years now, and I bought it back at target for about 50 bucks, as I get older and now living with fiancé cooking has definitely been a big part for us, not, now i’m starting to appreciate these kitchen equipment a lot more than I did before, the old one that I had was starting to feel dull and the quality of the blade are really not that great. anyway here we are to my new set of knife I love this knife quality, weight and the way in feels in your hand, it felt like this is the next level of owning a much better and Premium knife set for you kitchen after giving my first try using this ninja knife set I was already impressed and just makes me want to cut more veggies and meat, but the best part was me letting my fiancé test it to see what she think about em, and all she said was “ it cuts like butter” it sure does, was impressed of how good they are the ninja foodi never dull knife set comes with 12 set and the built in sharpening system the whole collection look pretty much comes stainless steel and some plastic on some area, the set scissors are also detachable, I like how the scissors can get disconnected so you’ll have the ability to clean tight corners that you wouldn’t usually be able to clean on regular scissors but the set have your typical chef , sontoku, utility, paring and steak knives set. having this built in sharper is a major plus for sure, this will definitely give me the ability to make sure my knifes perform at all times my experience with these knifes have been all smiles, it sure making me want to cut, cook or even just cut things for my fiancé when she needs a simple things like cutting friends, but seriously cutting chicken and steak never been this easy for me, it’s not because they are new but just how great these knife cuts, Ninja claims these knife will be No dull for 10 years, obviously I couldn’t back that claim yet, but I do hope they are right, Ninja also offer some videos specifically about how to use this set and how to properly handle and take care of your tools a nice insight on things you might not know, I’ve owned multiple Ninja products, so far I havent been disappointed by them.

First impression: The Ninja Foodi NeverDull Premium 12-piece Knife system seems to be a well-made set of knives with a solid knife block. The clock is made of quality plastic and stainless aluminum. It has a built-in knife sharpener, and the individual knife holders has a softer plastic insert to protect the knife. Quality: The thing to start off with are the knives. After all, that’s why I would buy a knife set. The knives are very sharp. Each knife seems to be very high quality, I don’t expect the handle to get loose at all. We used the knives regularly for about 4 days. Cutting lemons and limes took no effort at all. And dicing Jalapeños was very easy as the knife did all the work. Cutting through pork ribs was like cutting through warm butter. Our old knife set was a good set, but it is over 18 years old, and even sharpening them isn’t the same. Aside from the sharpness, which is very important, is the feel. The knives are very well balanced. They also have a good bit of weight to them, making using them easier because it takes the need to bear into the cut. The handles are comfortable and are a bit larger than my old set, and that makes holding on to them much easier. The knife block is a very attractive, strong base. The bottom has suckers to keep it from sliding. And on the side is a built-in knife sharpener. The manual says not to sharpen a knife until you have used it for at least 2 weeks, so I used it to sharpen some of the 18-year-old knives. It did a good job sharpening them. It is a bit awkward at first using the knife sharpener, but with practice it became easier. Conclusion: The Ninja Foodi NeverDull knife set is a very nice set. We do a lot of cooking at home and were already looking to replace all our knives, so I was thrilled at the chance to review this set. We have already cleaned up and sharpened our old set and are donating it. This knife set is our new set. The knives are very sharp, well balanced, have a good weight to them, and fit well in the hand. The knife block is well made, attractive, and has a built-in knife sharpener. If I were to buy a set, I would buy this set knowing what I know now. I highly recommend the Ninja Foodi NeverDull knife set series.

First, this set of knives is so good looking that I had to actually try to clean my counter top before putting it on the counter. LOL. Second, when taking it out of the box for cleaning, I was so surprised at how good all the knives felt. They felt so high quality and with heft, but not heavy and so well balanced. I really like this set because they have pretty much all the type of knives I use on a daily basis. I was also happy to see that the scissors can be taken apart for cleaning. That shows me attention to detail. Out of the box, all the knives are sharp, which is to be expected. So I have not used the knife sharpener yet, but when playing with it, it feels easy and smooth to use. I think the placement of a knife sharpener on the box was genius. I think this set is gonna be around for a long time. I do a lot of cooking so I've had expensive knives over the years but no matter how much they cost, they all go dull and with the expensive sets, they should be sharpened properly. I just like to use an electric sharpening machine and it really messed the knives up. I decided not to bother and have been using cheaper knives for awhile now. I think this is gonna be the perfect set. Good quality at a reasonable price.

My wife and I have recently been introduced to the Hello Fresh food delivery service, so we’re cooking much more at home now. We’ve been using a Cusinart 12-piece knife set for the past year, which I thought was sharp, they served their purpose without fail but having a Ninja coffee maker we thought we’d give the NeverDull knife set a try. Wow, there is a definite difference, not that the other set is dull, but that the Ninja is really that sharp. Diced onions and carrots have clean cut lines, the knives slice easily through everything that we’ve tried. Instructions state to not use the built-in stone sharpener for everyday usage, just when it’s time to sharpen them. I will note that I found it odd that despite the box stating it’s a 12-piece set, I presume they are counting the block itself as a piece, with 10 knives and a pair of scissors. Pros + incredibly sharp + aesthetically attractive + affordable + feels good in the hand + NeverDull Stone Sharpener + matches other kitchen appliances Cons -larger footprint -odd empty slot -be careful not to cut yourself Conclusion If you’re like us and enjoy cooking, I’ve never used a better knife set. This is review of Ninja Foodi NeverDull Premium Knife System 12 Piece Set. Pro: 1. Scissors blades are separable and easy to clean 2. Each knife has its type written on the blade. 5” utility knife looks a lot like a 4.5” steak knife. 3. Food do not stick to the blade during cutting Con 1. Dont’t like to put knives horizontally into the knife block 2. Chef knife’s handle is a bit short for my taste. This puts more weight on the hand than the blade and makes harder to cut. I wish the balance point was slightly toward the blade than the handle. 3. Sharpening function is only for the knifes included for Ninja brand. 4. The Ninja Foodi NeverDull Premium 12-Piece Knive set is one of Ninja's first product in the cutlery territory. Touting a German steel blades and 10-year durability, Ninja has gotten my attention. The Foodi 12-Piece Knive Set includes German forged stainless steel, rust resistant knives; one 8" Chef knife, one 5" Santoku knife, one 5" Utility knife, one 3.5" Paring knife, six steak knives, one set of shears (scissor like tool), and Ninja's NeverDull knife sharpening knife block. The plastic, aluminum like finish, knife holding block includes an embedded sharpening tool that is touted to keep your knife set sharp for over 10 years. Ninja recommends not using the tool for at least two weeks of using the knives. The knife block itself is lightweight and at first concerned me with how well it could hold the knives without tipping over. Under the knife block, Ninja added suction cups and after multiple tests, these helped the knife block stay in place after attempting to push it and using the sharpening system. The Foodi knives have quality handles and beautiful smooth finishes; compared to other knives, the tang construction handle is of the type that will not become loose even after years of use due to the stainless steel going into the handle. Right out of the box, the knives cut through fruits, vegetables, and meats like how fruits are cut in the Fruit Ninja game. It would be normal for it to cut through everything I threw at them like butter but after weeks of use, they still have held a sharp edge and cut like the day I first started using them. As previously mentioned, Ninja recommends not using the NeverDull knife sharpening tool until at least after 2 weeks of using a knife. After using the sharpener in the knive block, I can say sharpening a knife has not been easier. You simply insert the knife into the sharpener's slot, push the sharpener's lever down and raise it back to the starting position. After each sharpening, I would advise checking the knive's edge to check how sharp it is. If it is not to your preferred sharpness, simply re-insert the knife and try the process again. Over on the right side of the knife block, you will be able to see through the plastic window the knife and it being sharpened as well. Inside the knife block, Ninja uses a stone wheel (does not mention what type of stone it is) to sharpen each knife with the right amount of pressure to restore a sharp edge. Ninja sells the stone if a replacement is needed on their website. While there is much to like about the Ninja NeverDull Premium Knife Set, what i wished they would've done better is replaced some of the aluminum like finish plastic on the knife block and added weightier material. Although the suction cups keep the knife block secure to the surface it is on, it would've felt and fit in better with the look of the overall set if they included actual aluminum or stainless steel to add weight to it. Overall, I have very much enjoyed using the knife set and can see how Ninja guarantees this system to last years to come. I recommend it to anyone looking to replace their current knife set and is looking for a new and sharper knife set that will last a while!

We have needed a good knife block for a while now. Many years ago, we had purchased one of those "superior" knife sets from one of the big name "Clubs". It was one of those where they had someone out demonstrating them, lifetime warranty, etc. We spent several hundred dollars for them and they have been the absolute worst kinves we have ever owned. I also own a Japanese knife set and it's been one of our better sets. But this Ninja knife set is FAR superior. I absolutely love Ninja products and my history of Customer Support with them has been fantastic. This set was super easy to unbox and get set up. The knives themselves are super nice and SUPER sharp. The block is made of plastic and some stainless steel and has the built in knife sharpener on it, along with some suction cup feet, which are a really nice feature given that you're dealing with sharp objects and it really eliminates the possibility of the block getting knocked over or tilted. As for the knives themselves, they're fantastic! I've sliced/chopped/diced tomatoes and other veggies, steaks and other things, as well as testing out the shears to remove fatty areas from chicken and such. All of these knives have performed admirably. If I had any issues at all, really - and this is more nitpicking than anything - is I do wish the whole block were made out of the plastic and just skip the stainless steel as it shows every little fingerprint and speck of grease. Also, the steak knives do not all line up with one another. Some sit higher than the others. This isn't an issue really, but if you have any form of OCD or neatness about you, lol, it may bug you a bit. Or, it could just be my specific set. Who knows. You can see in the picture of what I'm talking about by looking at the steak knives on the bottom row. Overall, I'm giving this a 5/5 star review. I'll for sure be taking super good care of these and they are getting washed, dried and put up after each use. I highly, highly recommend this knife set over others. I did not get to use the sharpening feature for the purposes of this review, as Ninja and the documentation suggests waiting at least 2 weeks of use before doing that. Therefore, I'm not able to speak towards how well these sharpen, stay sharp and if they really will last the full 10 years that they quote for the lifespan of the "Never Dull" feature.

First of all, Ninja is just awesome with anything that belongs in the kitchen. This set literally makes the Faberware set it replaced feel like they were plastic utensils from a Togo restaurant. I have large hands and these feel just perfect. Premium feeling and great comfort while gripping. One thing I love is that the shears can be separated to clean them with ease. Build quality is top notch and the knives are super sharp out of the box. One thing to note is do NOT use any other knife set in the sharpener. You risk ruining the sharpening stone as it's only meant for the Ninja Set. 12 piece set is more than enough for a family of 4 and with regular maintenance, these will easily last for many many years.

Best knife set I've ever own. The design and sleek appearance is eloquent and the touch and feel is smooth. After use the ability to re sharpen the knife is the icing on the cake. Never have to worry about ever having a dull knife with storage and sharpener all in one case. Love it. Thank you ninja such a wonderful investment.

I’ve had various knife sets and I have to say these are super sharp and hold their edge very well. Had them for two months and have only had to sharpen once sharpener works great knives are excellent.
