This product will allow you to use your gamecube controllers with games that have this compatibility like Super Smash Bros. Of course your friends that use the gamecube controller need to stay away from the cheat stick (c-stick) when fighting in Smash Bros. There's not much else to say this will work and do exactly what it says effectively.

Personally I think the GameCube controller is the best controller option when playing Super Smash Bros. It allows for quick twitch style gameplay. This adapter also allows you to play the 8 player mode on Smash Bros for Wii U. The adapter is easy to use and has worked flawlessly every time I've used it.

Does what it's supposed to, perfectly. After more than a decade of Smashing it up on a Gamecube controller, there really isn't any other method for me. Blame it on "muscle" memory. I highly recommend this product!

Works wonderfully without any flaws, lag, etc. Great product and a great way to play Smash! You can also hook up two of these to a Wii U to play 8 person smash on Smash Bros with 8 Gamecube controllers!

This device allows you to use gamecube controllers with your Wii U. Thus far, the only game I'm aware of that officially supports this is Super Smash Bros for Wii U, which is quite excellent. When used, it allows an additional 4 players, up to 8 in total.

I have had no issues at all with using this product. It currently only works for super smash Bros. for Wii u. As it stands this adapter works great with absolutely no issues!

My buddies and I have been playing Super Smash Bros Wii U every day for about a week and I can't say enough good things about that game and this adapter. Setup for the adapter is as simple as you can imagine: just plug the adapter in to the Wii U, plug the GameCube controllers in to the adapter and you're good to go. Works with the new re-released GameCube controller as well as previously existing GC controllers, even Wavebirds! This is a must for any Smash veterans looking to play the new SSB with what is arguably the best controller to play those games.

Smash bros with a GameCube controller is the definitive way to play. When I finally got home with the adapter I went 12-0 after losing for months.

This official Gamecube Adapter works marvelously. There is no input lag and it is great to be able to use Gamecube Controllers to play Smash.

This is a must for hardcore Smash Bros players. Paired with the wireless GameCube controller you can expect the battles to get crazy.

This device works flawlessly for the one game it works for (Smash Wii U.) I wish it had a longer cord, but I'll work with what I'm given. If you do have one of these, you've uncovered a secret stash to sell for a rainy day. They say you can trade it for a kidney in a pinch :)

I originally purchased the Smash Brothers videogame without having the flexibility that the Wii U adapter provides. Once I finally purchased the Wii U adapter, I really knew what I was missing. If you prefer to use your old gamecube joysticks while playing the Wii U, you should run out and purchase one of these immediately.

There are others copies of this adapter for a cheaper price, but those are not worthy, why? Because those have some input lag, varely visible but they have it, so I recommed you to go with the original from nintendo. If you want to play just as smooth as you played meleee or Brawl, then you'll need this adapter.

I would recommend this to anyone playing super smash bros. The game pad and even pro controller pale in comparison to the gamecube controller when playing this game. It's a must have for everyone from beginners to seasoned veterans.

I always played smash with gamecube controllers making it really hard for me to play smash for the wii u. Thankfully that problem has now been fixed with this adapter allowing you to use gamecube controllers on the wii u.
