I've owned a Switch for a while now, and I can honestly say that I've never had my Joycons die on me. I thought that the Joycon's lifespan would be similar to the Switch's but that wasn't the case at all. So here I am with an extra Joycon holding controller that charges them if you so wish to do that. I mean, if you have a couple of lads or gals just coming over, maybe they bring their Switches as well, then you got an extra controller for someone who isn't too fond of the Joycons. And, it charges too! So really, if you have a lot of friends, this is a good pick-up. Also #joyconboyz

I had initially bought the non-charging grip and had no way to charge my joycons with just my Switch Lite. This is an absolute must buy they charge so quickly! Don't make the mistake of getting the Power A version as this one is much more comfortable

Great, better then the original I can charge the minis without having to attach them to the screen

This is basically the same joycon holder that came with the switch, with the added bonus that you can charge the joycons as you play. I've never really had an issue with joycons running out of battery since I've always just plugged the ones I have back into the switch when I'm done (granted I only have the pair that came with the switch). It is mildly infuriating that this isn't the set that came with the switch from the start, but I guess that's another conversation. I can definitely see this coming in useful for people who have multiple sets of joycons and don't have a charging base for them!

First things first, this is a Nintendo product. This is a high quality grip that is easy to use and handy to have. I find using the grip w/ joy cons is a very acceptable controller that will not hinder the gaming experience. My only issue is that I feel having a charging grip isn't a necessary feature to have. The joy con's battery life lasts forever on their own. Even if you travel w/o having the ability to charge your switch - which in turn charges your grips - your joy cons will outlast the switch's charge by a country mile with no need for a charging grip to help out. To wrap this up, good accessory, but paying extra for a charging feature that will, in my case, never be utilized.

A while ago now (way back when I first bought my Nintendo Switch console) I also purchased this fine item, the Nintendo Switch - Joy-Con Charging Grip (by Nintendo). I must say that I'm very happy with it. This item allows me to charge my Nintendo Switch Joy con controllers using an included USB charging cable, which I can easily plug in to the Nintendo Switch Dock. The item is really easy to use and I can even charge the controllers while I am using them to play games. This device really comes in handy if you buy extra joycon controllers.. because you can use it to charge them up.. while keeping the original two controllers attached to the switch itself to keep them charged. This is a very good product!

Makes charging controllers easy and works great as one controller

When I decided to get 2 extra Joy-con controllers I wasn't thrilled about having to buy a separate charger or switch them out with the 2 attached to the switch. This chargeable grip is my go to controller style for my switch now! Not only are all my controllers charged at all times I also have a super easy way to ergonomically use my extra controllers. I would recommend this again and again.

Slightly heavier than the standard Joy-con grip but nothing to complain about. Like the idea of being able to play while the controllers are charging through the joy-con grip.

It will charge controllers In this grip. Good size, and feel. Nintendo needs to come off their prices a little.

The Nintendo Switch controllers are very small. Using the joy con charging grip makes it easier to use.

these are pretty self explanatory. personally they feel the same as the ones the system comes with. but those dont allow you to charge your joycons so if you have more than one pair it sucks having to wait until the joycons charge up for you to play with a friend again if they die. These charging grips solve that problem. The USB type C cable it came with is of good quality too, i was pleasantly surprised.

We purchased this because the joy cons are too small for my husband's hands. He's able to use the bigger controller much better now. Since we have 3 kids, we still have the option to break them apart so they can play. We still plan on purchasing the full size controller for him in the future so we can all play at the same time.

If you've bought a second set of joycons, I would recommend this as the best way of keeping them charged. The nice thing about the charging grip is that you can continue playing while corded into the system, as opposed to charging stands which force you to stop playing.

If you tend to use Joycons a lot i’d say get this asap! Definitely is worth it!

Great accessory! I only play my Switch on the television so I hate always having to connect / disconnect the joy-cons every time they need to charge. just plug in the charging cable and you're set. Genuine Nintendo product too!

So I was under the impression that this would be different from the grip that came with the console. Well, surprise surprise. it's nintendo what else. The only difference between this and the default grip is that this one allows you to charge while playing and the other doesn't. That's it. You can save yourself 15 plus bucks by just buying the standard one and charging your joycons when your not using the console.

I love my Nintendo Switch, and adding this charger to the controller is great. No more sown time waiting for something to charge, but i like the added benefit of putting the controllers together to make one larger controller!

This is a great accessory for the joy con controllers especially if you have two sets. It allows you to charge the controllers while you play as well as be plugged in to the system to charge while you are not playing.

Make sure you actually need this before buying.. Many of the Switch games require certain ways of holding the joy con.. if you do end up needing this style, you can't go wrong with buying the Nintendo Brand!
