Nintendo’s 1 year online service is very affordable at just $20 compared to its competitors.

Gotta have it to play things online and you get a few extra bonuses with some retro titles. Probably could come with more, but hey, this is nintendo we are talking about here lol.

Came in my inbox quickly and the code works. The product is pretty self explanatory, get it if you need it.

Compared to Sony and Microsoft's online services, Nintendo's is definitely the most affordable. Nintendo Online is also required for many of the new multiplayer games. While Nintendo Online isn't quite as robust and fully-featured like Xbox Live and PlayStation Network are, it is nice to be able to play a selection of classic NES and SNES games free of charge during the life of the subscription. Sort of like a very lite version of Xbox's Game Pass.

Gives you one year of access to Nintendo online services. Especially great for Mario kart, pokemon, and smash ultimate. Truthfully one of the better subscriptions since it comes out to about a dollar a month compared to other console networks. Very satisfied :)

This is a no Brainer purchase for anyone with a Nintendo switch console. For Twenty bucks a YEAR you can play online with friends on Mario Kart, Super Smash Brothers, Animal Crossing New Horizons, and etc. You also for that Twenty bucks a year get access to a bunch of NES games and Super Nintendo games as well as Tetris! My only issue is that the online servers could be better and promote more online chat functionality as well as just having dedicated servers when playing with other people. Another gripe is the Friend Code system which is rather annoying to add players but I understand since the console is aimed more at the younger generation. You can however connect it to your Facebook and Twitter accounts and add friends who have also done the same. This is a great option for anyone and at Twenty bucks a year or $1.67 a month this is a No Brainer Purchase.

At 1/3 the cost of competing online services, Nintendo Online represents a pretty stellar value. Obviously it’s not as fully featured, but it’s a small price to pay for multiplayer with friends and handfuls of classic NES/SNES titles. Not to mention, Tetris 99...

Nintendo switch online is a great value at $20, especially when compared to playstation and xbox. Membership allows you to play online, as well as access to NES and Super Nintendo games!

Absolutely necessary if you like to play online with friends. It also comes with free downloads of Tetris 99 and NES and SNES virtual console titles, which feels like a steal at a $20/year pricetag.

Nintendo online is very well priced, but only because it doesn't offer much. You can play online and stream games but you don't ever get to keep the games. It's not anything you own, and the things you can buy exclusively as a member aren't worth it. Nintendo online in general isn't very good either, bad infrastructure.

While this service is great for cloud saves and online play, I originally ordered it for access to the NES and SNES libraries, which include classics like the Mario games, Punch Out and Super Punch Out, and Breath of Fire. For $20, you gain access to a wide variety of classics for an entire year. It's worth it just for that alone, and it's cheap,

For just $20 a year, Nintendo Switch Online delivers solid value, granting access to online multiplayer, cloud saves, and a library of classic NES and SNES games. While the online infrastructure isn't perfect and voice chat requires a separate app, it's a must-have for fans of games like Mario Kart 8, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and Splatoon 3. If you love retro gaming and multiplayer fun, this budget-friendly subscription is worth considering.

While not nearly as robust in features as the Xbox or Playstation online subscriptions, the Switch Online membership is less expensive and still useful for online multiplayer and for online backups of your game saves (if supported).
