It’s quite easy to learn to use the scooter if it’s your first time using one. The feature requiring you to ride 200m before getting a chance to change the scooter’s setting to allow you ride at maximum speed is well thought of. It prevented accidents that could arise from sloppiness of first time riders. The integration with the app is also seamless, allowing you to make customizations easily, like setting the maximum speed and disabling kick to start. My only reservation is that although it has an advertised range of 15.5 miles, the battery can’t take me 12 miles (my distance to and from work). After 6 miles, battery percentage falls to about 45%. So, I always have to carry my charger along when using it. Other than that, it’s as good as advertised.

I bought this scooter for my husband and he absolutely loves it. It's the first time we own an electric scooter and is very easy to use it! I rode it, I was very scared, but its actually very easy and smooth ride, I just need to work on my sharp turns. In overall very nice product, easy to fold, a little heavier than I was expecting, but very nice scooter.

I purchased the NIU KQi 1 Pro Foldable Electric Kick Scooter on November 13, 2023, and initially, I was impressed with its sleek design and decent performance. With a max operating range of 15.5 miles and a top speed of 15.5 mph, it seemed like the perfect choice for quick commutes. Unfortunately, just today (December 7, 2024), the scooter has stopped working entirely. When I press the power button, the backlight turns on, but that’s all—there’s no response from the screen, and it won’t function. The scooter was fully charged the night before, so this isn’t a battery issue. I’m disappointed that such an expensive item failed after just over a year of light use. Does anyone know if this can be repaired, or if the company offers a service for such issues? I expected more durability and reliability from this product, and I hope NIU can address this problem. Rating: 2/5 (Would have been higher if the product lasted longer or had clearer support options.)

Bought this car to stop taking my car to work and it is great for a short commute! Just be careful with the lock that keeps it folded mine broke but luckily I was able to exchange for a new one before the return window.

The ride is exceptionally amazing, smooth glide kick start 15.5 mph max speed.The scooter is very fun and enjoyable and can with stand multiple surfaces of terrain and still be able to ride smoothly after taking shock.

Amazing quality easy to put together for me as a Mom of 3 boys and pregnant! Smooth and quiet kids love it!

Great scooter especially for the price. I use mine to go on bike trails or to just cruise through the neighborhood. It's sturdy and I don't feel like it's going to fail on me when going through rough streets/gravel. It has a good front light and brake lights, so I never feel like I'm invisible to drivers around me. Definitely not for longer trips though (6+ miles) and if you do plan on using it for that just be sure you have the ability to charge.

This is scooter is so amazing and really easy to drive , my son loves it so much and the best thing it has an app to manage and secure it by the phone.

My 13 year old son received the electric scooter for Christmas 2023. He loves it! It arrived about a week after ordering it. It was well packaged, very easy to put together & charges fairly quickly. I'm a kid at heart & I even rode it through the neighborhood. It's easy to operate, maneuver & balance. It also folds down easily for storagepurposes & is easy to lift the bar back up to its original position. The price was amazing for what you get. It was so good we ordered a second one after Christmas for my step sons birthday in January. I would definitely recommend! It's great transportation for my two teenagers!

Hey all, here's my impressions of the KQi 1 Pro. Sorry for the long text in advance. I saw post from a few days ago about the KQi 1 Pro being on sale at Best Buy for a ridiculous $199 down from the usual price of $499. Since my previous scooter (Gotrax GXL V2) has been having some problems, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to get something new. For reference, I'm a slightly below average height guy at 5'8" and weigh about 145lbs. I use scooters for a daily commute to classes at University, which is about 1 mile each way. My previous GXL V2 (that I bought only 6 months ago, with only 3 months of real use due to summer) has started to develop motor stuttering issues, which I've tried to fix but no luck. Support was non-existent, they set me a laughably bad response after over a week of waiting. I'll copy and paste it here, word for word: "hi~friend~Can your sent the video to me?? i will check for u." That was the whole email, I didn't respond after that lol. I also tried a Hiboy S2, and very much disliked it. The ride was bone-shaking awful due to the solid tires, and the Bluetooth didn't work. So that one got sent back. So, when the NIU arrived I was immediately impressed. The look, build, and just overall fit and finish of it was so much further ahead then the GXL or even the S2. It seems much more sturdy and long lasting than the other two on first impressions. Additionally, the ride quality was excellent, way better than the S2 and comparable to the GXL. The app support is fantastic, as it *actually worked* and works really well in contrast to the S2 and the GXL (which doesn't have app support at all.) Everything is great for such a small scooter. Speed is right where it is expected to be, acceleration is good, and the overall experience is excellent. It's such a feature rich experience when compared to the GXL or the S2. My only major gripe about it is that it doesn't have a speedometer indicator. Not sure why they didn't include this, but the ring light that it has looks cool. So yeah, it's an absolute steal for $200. I'd be happy paying $400 IMO. It's a great little scooter for someone like me who doesn't weigh a whole lot and doesn't need to go super far. Let's just see how it holds up in the long run!

Really sturdy, easy to ride and not too heavy. Lasts longer if using it in ECO mode so if you're not in a rush it's great. Can go pretty fast too if you need it.

Absolutely the WORST purchase from Best Buy I have ever made. Was cool at 1st until the neck latch broke, we sent it in for repair because it was under warranty, they have it in shop for about 2 months and tell us the part is not in, eventually we just tell them to send it back broken because it was a new item that had been used about once because we live where it snows.The scooter had about 2 miles on it when we 1st sent it in for repair. They send back a scooter that looks damaged and had 60 miles on it, the company claims it was tested but the piece that needed fixed in no shape or form should have required a test drive. We call NIU to complain and they offered compensation, we agreed and then took it out for a spin and the motor went out about a mile down the road during a ride. Started to make a clicking noise, LED was going crazy and going up to speeds of 35 MPH while just turning the power on. Wouldn’t move, had to walk it home a mile. So again it gets sent back for repair, they “repair it” and send it back to us, we get the scooter out of the box to notice it has a flat back tire so what do we do? Send it BACK again for a repair and just got it back again finally and the serial numbers do not match. Do not purchase this scooter. The company doesn’t stand on their word. They are scammers who steal your product and send you back old scooters. Absolutely pathetic customer service. They are outsourced and have TWO total people who answer the phones. They always say “I’ll let the appropriate team know and get this resolved” yet we have never been contacted by anyone higher up. This was a Christmas gift for my husband but it ended up being the gift that keeps on giving, or in this case- taking! Do not spend your hard earned money on a terrible product. The worst part of this purchase is, I did ALOT of research on it prior to buying and thought it was the best item for the price during Black Friday. I wish I spent more on a known brand. SMH

I purchased this scooter for my son and he loves it! It rides smoothly, the charge lasts a long time, and it’s fast. Be aware that this scooter goes up to 25 mph, not 15mph as stated. I would definitely buy it again.

I purchased this scooter because I refused to pay parking at work, so I park my vehicle about a mile away from my job and hop on my scooter. It’s super fun to ride and I love the brightness of the back light. I gave it 4 stars because it goes super slow uphill/incline. Other than that, it’s a fantastic scooter! It charges quickly, and it also has a cool lock feature! I finally learned how to fold it, which makes it easier to carry and put in my car. I highly recommend!!

I brought this for my daughter and she loves it. Batteries life is good fast charge, great ride, and fast. Great quality. I would recommend this scooter.
