NIU kqi air carbon fiber foldable scooter is super fast and super light, especially if you commute every day and need to take the train and bus. It’s perfect for long commutes involving both the train and bus. With a scooter, you no longer have to wait for the bus — you already have your own ride, It’s easy to fold when you need to use the stairs, and you don’t have to wait for the elevator because you can carry your scooter. If you’re in a hurry, you can also carry it since it’s lightweight.. The downside of this scooter is that sometimes you need to check the screws on the handlebar, because since it’s made of carbon fiber, they can loosen a bit faster. So you should always check if the screws are tight — but not overly tight. That’s the only downside for me, but you still need to be careful.

You'll never find a spare tire. I searched everywhere, from the official website to Aliexpress, and no sealants or rubber adhesives can solve the issue of the tire deflating at the rim. The scooter is marketed as very lightweight, and that's true, but this lightness makes it frustrating to use as the scooter tends to pop wheelies every time it starts. Overall, the concept is very promising, but the execution, engineering solutions, and after-sales support are disappointing not only for this model but for the brand as well. I tried to replace my old Ninebot F30 with it, but I still rely on the F30 after two years with no issues other than changing the spare tire that came with it. The Niu Air, however, just sits around because I have no desire to pump up the tire twice a day.

As product, it's light. But like most people here said, The after sales service is horrible. Don't be like me and ignore this complaint because it's true and i now regret buying this scooter. The front wheel was wobbly out of the box, apparently a common problem. Instead of sending me a replacement wheel, they rejected my claim (only found out after i had to send them a second email) and said i must send in the entire scooter. Unacceptable, impractical solution. They just want you to go away after you buy the scooter. Therefore, the scooter can't be easily maintained. Very disappointed. DON'T BUY.

I recently got my hands on the NIU - KQi Air Carbon Fiber Foldable Electric Kick Scooter and I'm absolutely loving it! This scooter is a game-changer when it comes to convenience and practicality. First off, the carbon fiber construction makes it incredibly lightweight, so I can effortlessly carry it around or fold it up for easy storage. It's perfect for commuting, especially when you need to hop on trains or buses where space is limited. Another great aspect is the battery life. The KQi Air comes with a long-lasting battery that gives me a decent range of up to 22 miles on a single charge. And recharging is a breeze - it takes only a few hours to replenish the battery, so I don't have to wait long to get back on the road. I also appreciate the thoughtful design elements. The control panel is simple and intuitive, allowing me to effortlessly switch between riding modes or adjust the speed. The accompanying smartphone app is a great bonus too, as it provides real-time ride tracking and allows me to lock the scooter remotely. Overall, the NIU - KQi Air Carbon Fiber Foldable Electric Kick Scooter is an absolute joy to ride. It's lightweight, convenient to fold, and provides a comfortable and safe riding experience. If you're looking for a reliable and stylish electric scooter for everyday use, I highly recommend the KQi Air!

worked perfectly for about 3 months. the scooter no longer powers on. the display screen is dead and the NFC card, bluetooth/ app or power button no longer work. i've contacted niu after sales for replacement parts and still have not heard back from them. i also have the kqi2 pro and that scooter has been and is still running flawlessly. others have been having the same problem with the air and i would not recommend it.

Great built quality. But the range, I only get 12 miles from a brand new 100% battery charge... now I had to charge it both at home and at work if i want to use it for commute.

Handle was misaligned with the wheel at purchase, and now less than 2 months after recieving it it won't turn on. Customer service says it'll have to be shipped back to their service center, in total it can take 33 business days for the service center to send shipping details, 10 days to ship, 10 to fix, and 10 to return.

The ONLY positive is that it's lightweight because it's carbon fiber. Otherwise, the software is dreadful, the bluetooth crapping out after only 10 days. This is known issue, apparently., Tech support (in China) tried walking me through a solution that involved taking the stem apart. When that didn't work, they wanted me too ship the scooter back to them for repair! That's ridiculous, so, thankfully, I was able to return the scooter back to Best Buy. Even when it was working, the app was limited in its features. No suspension makes for a very bumpy ride on NYC streets. Range not remotely as advertised in my experience. You purchase this at your peril. Do what I did: get a Segway/Ninebot F3 instead. Far superior in almost every way. It's just a. few pounds heavier, but so much better!

This scooter is the best. It's super cool looking, super lightweight. It's fast (20 mph) and has a very good range (31 miles). I just love it.

Not sure why the low ratings as this is exactly what I wanted in an electric scooter. It’s beautiful, super light and has an extra wide deck which makes a huge difference. The ride quality is great even without suspension due to the tubeless tires. The app is well thought out and overall I’m happy. Time to hit the beach for a night ride …….

Unfortunately there seems to be a defect with this scooter. The front wheel seems to have something dragging so we haven't used it yet. It will be necessary to contact Best Buy to return. This is probably just a flaw with this specific scooter. It seems really nice and is lightweight.

Purchased the scooter and it broke very quickly while it doesn’t weigh a lot the electric function of it and all the digital screen gadgetry doesn’t work and makes the scooter completely useless when it glitches which happens while you’re riding it and the Best Buy warranty doesn’t seem to apply to it, which is all the more frustrating

I really regret that I didn't listen to all the bad reviews. I was lured by its low price! Even cheaper than Niu's website. I was completely wrong. After 9 trips (about 4.6 miles each), 6 charges, I started having battery issues. I have the blue tooth unlock off, idle for 5 days, the batttery drop to 65%. Which I thought should be enough for my trip(usually only takes 35%). NO. It stoped working after about 3mile, when it still shows 42% in the app, one bar on the screen. Before, I am able to complete my trip for one bar. Right after that, I charged it to 100%, but that trip was even worse.During the ride, the power output suddenly became unstable — it kept surging and jerking. I was riding in dynamic mode with the regenerative brake set to medium. I first switched the mode to eco, then to sports, but the problem remained. It felt like the scooter kept braking on its own and then releasing. I regreted to buy it from best buy also. I cannot return or exchange it nor even don't know how to get warranty fix. Seriously, lesten to reviews, expecially the bad ones.

I’ve had the scooter a month and rode less than 45 miles, and have had several problems. The cover on the back wheel came loose and now rattles and is very loud (it seems that it is held on by minimal glue), the front wheel makes a rubbing noise and nothing is rubbing, and now the Bluetooth doesn’t work. Bluetooth is needed to connect to the app which controls everything! This was my breaking point. Customer service is useless and says I have to ship the scooter to their service center and it will take minimum 10 business days. Good thing I kept the original box! For a scooter costing $1400, you would think it would be better made. Unfortunately, Best Buy has been no help and says they charge a 15% restocking fee and it has to be in perfect condition. I also dislike the alarm system, there is no way to disable it. If you move it an inch, the alarm goes off. Not handy when you leave it with a coat check or doorman. I wanted to love this scooter, but I dont.

Steer clear people. The handle bars are mis-aligned on all of the scooters that Best Buy is selling of this model. I exchanged 3 and every single one is defective. It's shocking tht Niu and Best Buy would continue to sell products that they obvioiusly know are defective.

Great overall, but could be a little faster. Build seems good and not too complicated. Also, app pairing and some features can be improved.

Bluetooth failed on the scooter 2nd day of ownership, and most of the features are bluetooth controlled. Customer service is non-existent AI bots that send prefabricated emails based on the content of your issue emails that are sent through the app. Going with a more reliable brand next time.

Excellent lightweight scooter. It’s like riding on air……

The scooter has full charge and worked fine friday. Now it wont turn on or recognize the stupid key cards. Software should not prevent operation

Great scooter!! The bolt can get loose on the blinkers but that's the only issue.
