“Nomadland” did not come with a slip cover, which can be make it or break it for some physical media collections, but I don’t mind the Blu Ray case without the slip. As someone that has a shelf dedicated to every Academy Award Best Picture winner, I had to complete my collection with this recent winner and the win was much deserved. “Nomadland” is a moving portrait of loss and an inspiring piece of cinema that utilizes every frame to emphasize the beauty of the world around us. Frances McDormand’s performance is one of the most unforgettable in modern cinema while Chloe Zhao’s direction will leave filmmakers in awe. The menu screen is one of the best that I’ve seen in awhile on a BluRay release, and, although I have not dug into the Special Features as of yet, I will certainly be doing so.

Wanted to add to my collection. Interestingly after watching this and all the extra material I have not watched any other DVD's. I though the movie was extremely well acted by all; especially considering many of the "Extra's" were real people portraying their actual life. At the time the movie was released on DVD I had some interest in van life and was following several nomads on U-Tube.

I was able to see all 8 nominees for Best Picture. While I admired them, I am delighted Nomadland was chosen for the Oscar. The story pulled me in and I truly cared about the people. This is a quasi-documentary and by means of it, I was introduced to a whole new culture. Beyond that, Frances McDormand was perfect in the role. Do make a point of watching the special features that come with the blu-ray.

A great look into the ' wandered type life' . I did think most did that because of income loss or loss of homes. Some of those people ( real people living that way of life were in the film ) CHOOSE that free type if life. I like the ' what seemed honest ' point of view and the beautiful parts of this country i will probably never see. Great movie really.

Another amazing film for Frances McDormand. As a woman that loses her job, home and husband she takes to the road in her van and joins the Nomad community. She befriends others like herself as she travels across the country taking odd jobs and living in her van. A great character study of a proud and determined woman who refuses to give up on herself.

My favorite film of 2019. Frances Mcdormand is a revelation! Nomadland paints a real and poignant picture on the inequities of the lower middle class and the crumblings of the American Industrial complex. Its a beautiful reflection on life, grief, and the power of human connection. This film is not to be missed! A true gem of a movie.

A slow moving movie, but one that keeps your interest. Frances McDormand is at her best all the way through, and it is easy to see why she won the Academy Award for Best Actress. The film shows a way of life different from what most folks would want, but what some desire. Make up your mind which you'd prefer.

excellent documentary-drama. thanks to best buy for making this available promptly after the film was named 'best film of year' at oscar academy awards. this was, otherwise, not so easy to find on blu-ray. Well worth your time to see this part of our nation.

Beautiful and so grounded it feels like it’s a documentary. Chloe Zhao deserved to become only the second female director to win Best Director. It earned its well deserved Best Picture win

As a physical release it’s a tad lacking, the movie is good but not great. There’s one bad review messing this up so I’m balancing it.... like Thanos.

Familiar with people living like this and the Quartzsite, Az location. It struck a chord with people who live under similar circumstances.
