I figured since this particular drafting software was coming from a reputable TV show, it would be fairly easy to navigate. I've had it for a month now, and yet to draw my first viable floor plan. Can't Render in 3D. I had a similar software some 20 yrs ago, It was simple, I could manipulate the walls to make them appear wider, it was better than this item I have now.

Unpacked the product, took three tries to get it to complete install. Documentation very complex to try to follow, so decided to try tutorials that were part of package. Could not get any of them to launch. This is on a brand new Windows laptop that more than met minimum configuration. Took package back to Best Buy and clerk said there were no returns permitted on software. Used a 3D Architect program on a PC back in 2000-2001 that was easy to use and did everything we wanted to design an addition to our home, and expected this to be at least that simple and easy to use. Couldn't even get the basic walls constructed in this one. Terrible software. Any positive reviews of this software that say it is easy to use I have to wonder who is writing them!

I purchased this program to assist my remodeling the kitchen. I expected a little bit more from this program. I have nothing to compare this program to, but I thought it would be a little more intuitive to design a room. You definitely need to read the manual and go through the exercises. The included appliances and furniture, etc are ok but you can download specific products which look much better. And the downloads are free to download and use. I would recommend it to anyone who is willing to spend hours going through the exercises and reading the manual.

Originally purchased to assist in designing new cabins. Initially got the digital download which refused to work. Recieved a refund for money paid however still haven't recieved points back that I cashed in. Then purchased the disk copy and no issues. So far program does more than expected. Only issue would be ease of use and not having enough tutorials on how to do everything the program is capable of. If there was a class the possibilities are endless.

This was the 3rd similar product that I have bought. Compared to others this was the most difficult to use. I bought it to help with a remodel and I gave up after not being able to figure out how to use the product to its potential

This program isn't as easy to use as similar programs I have used in the past. It does not give the capability to insert/build walls at an angle less than 90 degrees.

My first impression came from seeing the users manual! Way to much documentation. This software is not easy to use out of the box. There are many good features and not much you can't do but it is not intuitive to use.

Program is fairly easy to navigate if you are somewhat computer literate but if not there is a bit of a learning curve. Its a good program for a DIY person who is looking to renovate their home. My only complaint is you need the software to view any of the drawings. They can be saved and emailed as an attachment but the recipient cant view it. So if your a small business owner who wants to send some design ideas to a client it wont work. It would be nice if they added a “read only” option to attach to the drawing.

It is probably great for people with construction savvy, but not for beginners.

Figuring out the correct buttons to push, and actually making a printed usable diagram is very difficult.

This software was purchased to help design an garage addition on my house. it was the only one for sale in the store. Price was reasonable, learning curve is a little hard.

It's a great program with tons of ides ands options. It's a little difficult to learn to use though. Takes time and I mean time, to learn how to use it!

Once I get the hang of it, I believe it's a great program. It's not as simple as I had hoped, but it has the potential!

The package claimed it would be easy and quick to use for outdoor landscaping design. Once opened it contained a several hundred page book to study and understand. The DVD was also very complicated! Most of the content was for interior design only a little landscaping. Then Best Buy wouldn’t let me return it and get my money back due to some federal law about DVDs. But at least they gave me a gift card that I could use for something else eventually.

We found it much more difficult to use than we expected. The book that came with it was huge and so much to read just to be able to do one thing. We took it back.

Used this some but is time consuming to get going. So need to spend more time with it

It seemed like a great program but I had problems loading it. Maybe it was me but I never managed to use it.

Took awhile to get it figured out all the way, and once I did, we designed our entire house and its going to an archetec. The only drawback was we couldn't get the bar in the drawing.

Installing a pool this summer and wanted to do a little design work with this software! But it was a lot harder than it should have been! I had a different brand previously but had lost the disc so purchased hgtv because of the landscaping and deck features, but never really got comfortable using it!
