Q: Nuheara, Can I use only one Iqbuds at a time? Just to be safe while driving. Thanks, James
A: Hello James, Thanks for the question. Sure, you can wear the IQbuds 2 MAX solo in the left ear only. The right ear pulls its data from the left ear bud. So, while the IQbuds 2 MAX are meant to be worn in both ears simultaneously for optimal listening and performance, you have the option of only wearing the left one leaving the right side without an ear bud. Hearing profile customization requires you to complete the EAR ID profile in the IQbuds App for iOS or Android. Also, in the IQbuds app there are settings under "World" in the 7-presets that allow you to have 4 favorites chosen for tap touch on-board controls including a "driving" preset. A: My dads hearing is TERRIBLE. (He sets the TV vol. around 80) With these on he can lower it to a much more comfortable 20. Not sure if that helps
A: Thank you for your question on behalf of your employee. Nuheara products are not certified as a hearing protection device and do not meet any of the OSHA hearing protection regulations. Nuheara products shouldn't be used to protect one's ears from high levels of noise that could cause noise induced hearing loss such as loud industrial environments. Therefore, no NRR rating is available. Nuheara's active noise cancellation reduces ambient noise across all frequencies to provide comfort and better listening ability in typical background noise environments at home, work and social environments. This comfort in noise can be controlled with the World "on' verse "off" settings in the IQbuds App for iOS and Android, or by a simple tap touch to the right IQbuds 2 MAX earbud. Typical speech in quite comes in at about 65dB SPL when measured with a sound level meter, so a background sound of 63dB SPL would be similar when using the IQbuds 2 MAX with World Off activated (Active Noice Cancellation at the maximum reduction) and should provide comfort for your employee. Because listening preferences are different and subjective between individuals, the only way to really find out of the IQbuds 2 MAX will benefit your employee is to purchase a pair and then try them in the preferred environments. Q: Are the tips latex or silicone?
A: Hello BGN2, Thanks for your very important question for those with latex sensitivity or allergies. We offer two types of tips in the package with the silicone medium size pre-installed on each IQbuds 2 MAX ear bud. The silicone tips are just that, no latex. We also include a set of small, medium and large tips made by Comply(TM) which are the Comply 160 version made from polyurethane foam, thermoplastic elastomer (all RoHS compliant). The Comply foam ear tips do not contain latex. A: These work really well as ear buds. The noise cancelling works well. The best ear buds I have used. But, as hearing aids they just didn't work for me. And, you can probably find great ear buds that are better priced.
