Full disclosure, this game was adapted from a mobile game, and it DOES drag out a little. But, 200 hours later I stay really enjoyed the turn based battles, intriguing main story, and varied characters. Town building was a blast and you get more freedom as you progress The 2d hd aesthetic is always stunning, and this game is no exception. It's over stayed it's welcome, but there's enough here to make it worth staying.

As a prequel this is a fine game, I love that it is based off a mobile game but fleshes it out and truly makes it come into its own. There's plenty of nods to the first Octopath Traveler, even if some are considered non-canon. Still, the story is perfectly fine and the battle system is one of best in the series. Adding to that, an amazing soundtrack that always sets the mood perfectly and you have yourself a winner.

Here we have a game that takes a mobile game and adds onto it. The game also led to take previous characters from the second game of the series and use them in this game. Graphically the game is what you expect for Octopath. Also included in the really good soundtrack. If you’re a fan of the series, then this game will not let you down. In fact it will want you wanting more.

If you love classic JRPG's you simply cannot go wrong with this series. I've played all three and they're all worth playing. The score is incredible and the art design is original and unique.

If you're a fan of the octopath series you'll fit right at home here. Main cast is great and town building is a unique addition to the game.

Octopath 0 is as fun as ever, with an engaging battle system that encourages you to pay attention to your team setup and their unique abilities in order to exploit the weaknesses of your enemies. It's slightly more strategic than most turn-based JRPGs... It's unfortunate that this is a bit of a step back in terms of the aesthetics, though. Octopath Traveler II was thoroughly impressive graphically and musically, but this game is usually not much of a looker and while the music is good, most of it is rehashes of older music. I still enjoyed this meaty game but I'm hoping Octopath Traveler III builds on the 2D HD formula rather than regressing further.

Square Enix knocks it out of the park again. One of the best JRPGs in years.

Having played one and two and put in over 250 hours on both excited for this one The city builder aspects aren't that bad gameplay is fun but the graphics are mid compared to the other two games especially part two

Love this game, masterful rpg for 2025, has great replay value as well cause it’s unlikely you’ll find all joinable characters in first run
